I contacted Matthews Motors late on a Saturday evening to inquire about a vehicle I had just found on their website. I expected to get the voicemail since it was after hours, but to my surprise they answered inquire about a vehicle I had just found on their website. I expected to get the voicemail since it was after hours, but to my surprise they answered the phone. I spoke with Dave Klaiber who was with a customer at the time, but he assured me that he'd have Mike Kerns call me right back. I did not expect a return call from Mike since it was after hours...I figured he'd call me back on Monday. I was again surprised because Mike called me back immediately. Mike was very patient and answered all my questions regarding the vehicle I was inquiring about. On Monday morning I received a call from Dave Klaiber asking if I had further questions. Dave was very professional and answered the additional questions I had and also discussed with me financing alternatives based upon my credit situation. Later that afternoon, I decided to submit an application. Dave stated that he would work on my loan and call me back shortly. Given my past experiences over the years with other dealers after submitting an application, I did not expect to hear back from Dave the same day. Dave called me back in a little over an hour and told me I was approved! My experience with Matthews Motors was exceptional...they really care about their customers! My husband and I purchased our vehicle on may 14,2013. I was browsing the internet for a used vehicle that would be in our price range and still be big enough for a family of 6. My husband and I went in to matthews motors in goldsboro and told Mike the vehicle that we were interested in and that we already had preapproval. Dave jumped right on the financing, getting us a better rate just as promised, and giving more for my trade in than any other dealer in town had offered. They drove the suburban right over from the clayton dealer, and I was in the new vehicle that same day. I love them! You can just tell that they are a different kind of dealer, you are treated like a customer and not a commission. Dave and the whole group has gone above and beyond to make sure that I am happy with the vehicle I have choosen. I can not say too many good things about them, They are an awesome group of folks! Hello. My husband I have been searching for quite a while for the perfect vehicle for our family. Let me tell you we have been to many car dealers and have looked over and over on the web and this can to be for the perfect vehicle for our family. Especially frustrating in finding a large 3rd row SUV for a family of 5 that allows room for you to actually feel comfortable and on a tight budget as well with this economy. We decided to give it one more try in finding the perfect fit. We had decided together about calling Matthews Motors of Goldsboro, NC after constantly viewing this one vehicle. My husband and I are the proud new owners of a 2007 GMC Yukon XL that is fully loaded and that was at a very good price that fit our budget as well. We called on a Friday afternoon, the salesman did his calling about this and that, the salesman drove it to our house, my husband thoroughly looked it over, took it for a test drive, signed paperwork, and then the next thing heard was, "Honey we got the SUV." And all of this was done in one day. I haven't been able to wipe the smile off of my face all weekend.
