It was not suggested. It came to me in a text message will waiting for my vehicle to be serviced. It big red letters it said the battery needed immediate attention. It even says this on the Multi Inspection Form. When I asked to see the battery I was taken in to the shop and the tech told me it would be too hard for me to see. I went to another Acura dealer and they were able to show me the battery and terminals with no problem. I also checked my past service records of Ferman Acura and the other Acura dealer and neither had this on their form, so it must be something your dealership added in order to sell a cleaning kit.
