We do ask our diagnostic service guests to sign for a diagnostic fee; however, the only time we actually charge someone with this fee is if we diagnose the vehicle, and then you choose not to get the repair done- this is done to ensure our trained technicians are compensated for their time. Unfortunately, not every problem can correctly diagnosed by plugging a computer up to the vehicle to check for an error code, and everything must be verified by a trained technician in order to avoid unnecessary costs and repair.
