Lies lies and more lies I became interested in a new 2019 Nissan Titan SL that was posted on the Maus website. I contacted the dealer through the website asking for pictures I became interested in a new 2019 Nissan Titan SL that was posted on the Maus website. I contacted the dealer through the website asking for pictures because the only image online was a generic picture. After two days of round about with sales people. We discovered that the truck was actually at the North Tampa location and their GM had been driving it around. They told me that he had left the truck on Saturday and I could come look at it. We drove over an hour to check out this deal. The truck was immaculate, even though the GM had put 4000 miles on it. Considering the price, I decided that this was the truck for me. So I sat down with the Sales person and we started the process. I should add that the truck listed for 40,000 but with Nissan incentives, was down to 33,500. The sales person told me that since the truck had been driven, they would give me a better deal than what it already was. So he went to get a manager to start the financials. This is where dreams became nightmares. This beta male enters the cubicle holding papers listing the price breakdown. Giving one of the worst acting performances, he proceeds to tell me that he is so sorry. There was a mess up online, they don't understand how it happened, the truck should have never been posted as new. Since it has miles on it now, it no longer qualifies for Nissan incentives. So he shows me the price sheet and the truck has gone from 33500 to 40000. You add in their Maus care package, tax tag and title, then deduct the measly amount offered for trade in, and the price is now 45000. I asked him if this was a joke. Never breaking character the sleaze tells me no sir, he is sorry for the inconvenience but that price should have never been online. (I had been in contact with sales people for the past three days, no one caught it? I think not) I said that when a business makes a mistake they should honor that mistake. He said not $10,000 worth. Ok fine, what else do you have that qualifies for incentives? He went to go look, comes back a few minutes later with a price breakdown on a new 2019 Pro 4X. Shows me the paper, this truck is well over 50000 out the door. I demanded the keys back to my original vehicle and told them we were done here. The only credit I will give them is, they did fill my gas tank up. Thank you for that. So we left there and went to Brandon Nissan 20 minutes away. Walked out of that dealer with a slightly used 2019 Platinum Reserve Titan for 37000. Yes, this was a happy ending to a horrible beginning. Maus Nissan North Tampa is a joke. You want proof - go to their website right now. They are still offering that Titan SL as new with all incentives. If this was a huge mistake, wouldn't you get the truck adjusted online. These snakes are trying to con more unsuspecting people. I wonder if this is a crime. More
