Before moving to NYC I'd owned two Honda vehicles and figured my purchase would likely go to Honda again. For my 'wheels' shopping I visited six dealerships, including Honda, Subaru and Mazda. Subaru and Mazda were curiosity visits because it was unlikely they'd break my loyalty to Honda. Instead, I turned away from Honda and bought a new Mazda CX-5 Touring from Lee Goldinger. I put each dealer through their paces by asking about features, safety, reliability, re-sale value, and even requesting if I could store my kayak to gauge cargo space. Lee stood out among all the dealers for answering my questions at my level. And when it was time to discuss price, Mazda City didn't overwhelm with a team of 'finance managers'. From the first visit to the last visit Lee was my contact. Some dealerships had me dealing with three, four people. Not Mazda City. I appreciate that Mazda doesn't gang up on a customer in the showroom. Lee's an experienced dealer and it came through in the negotiation.
