Dealerships Matter Since September 2014 I have visited over 6 dealerships in the Sacramento area and was disappointed with the majority of them. The disappointment started with the Internet communications where the Manager didn't follow through by answering questions. At times it felt like I needed to establish credit worthiness prior to getting a straight answer. Joshua Williams of Elk Grove Mazda persisted by staying in touch with me over the many months and in December 2014 I paid an unannounced visit to the dealership. I was met at the door by Sales Manager, Anthony Triggs. I told him I was interested in looking at the CX-5 and he immediately called in Direct Sales Specialist, Nick Ishihara. Nick worked with me to determine the model and options that best suited my requirements. There was no sales pressure. Nick took the time and had the patience to work with me over several hours to put a deal together. We were able to work out a good trade-in and financing package thanks to Anthony and Nick. After the purchase of the CX-5 Grand Touring, the Elk Grove Mazda team provided incredible follow through and support. I needed tire cables and Natalie Neuner of Administration located and put them on hold for me at the next door Nissan Service Department. Natalie also insured that follow-up, add on service products were scheduled promptly. On Nick's day off he came in to install a couple of accessories I had purchased. That special effort was greatly appreciated by me. Service Manager, EJ Delano made sure that additional work was done to the highest quality levels. I had the opportunity to talk with some of the other customers in the waiting room. They all had a very good opinion of Elk Grove Mazda. After my experience of purchasing a vehicle and seeing a top notch dealership in action, I find I have the same opinion. I will travel over 35 miles to do future business with the exceptional people at Elk Grove Mazda. Thank you Nick and thank you Elk Grove Mazda! More

Best Car Shopping Experience!!! I finally decided to take a shot at Elk Grove Mazda and had spoken with Rachel over the phone the day before. She was quick to respond to my call and was more than willing to help me out with what I needed. When I arrived to Elk Grove Mazda, she was there and ready to work with me at the time we had the appointment and spent the majority of her day with me making sure I received the best deal within my budget for the car I wanted. She was very friendly and very straight forward. Her customer skills were amazing and it made the car buying process so much less stressful!! I then worked with Steve Wray in financing and once again, the customer service was incredible!!! They weren't at all "pushy" about anything and you could honestly tell they put their customers satisfaction their top priority. I could not have asked for better sales people to work with and it was without a doubt the best and most stress free car shopping experience I have encountered. More

Straight-sell store; no greeter/closer system which makes most people uncomfortable with high-pressure closes. Garrett worked with us from initial visit to final drive-off and could not have been easier to work with. My only frustration was that available financing incentives complicated the price negotiation, but "my bad" for not negotiating a cash price first. Rookie mistake. Overall good experience and will recommend Mazda of Elk Grove to others. More

I found Mazda of Elk Grove's listing for a used 2012 model using the USAA Car Buying Service and Garrett contacted me promptly to discuss the vehicle. After driving up from Monterey to Elk Grove with my wife and kids on Saturday morning, I was able to negotiate a satisfactory price with Garrett for our trade-in and for the addition of a roof rack on our CX-9, which was installed at the Elk Grove service center while we enjoyed dinner at BJ's nearby. While the car buying and financing process can take up a solid day, financing with Steve was hassle-free, and Garrett answered all our questions upfront and dealt fairly with us through the entire process. I wish we lived closer to Elk Grove to take advantage of all their services - who doesn't want free car washes for life? I would happily recommend Garrett, Steve, and the staff at Mazda of Elk Grove to anyone in the market for a new or used vehicle. More

Rachel from Mazda of Elk Grove was the first to respond to my email and the first to get me an actual quote. Most of the others either would not give me a quote and wanted me to come down to test drive or were hours behind Rachel on giving me some numbers. She was fantastic through this whole process! Even when I got a better offer (which sounded too good to be true based on what was offered) from another Mazda dealer as soon as I walked in the doors in Elk Grove, Rachel and her team were able to work with me on getting the best price with the features I wanted and in a shorter amount of time than my previous car buying experiences had been with other dealers! In all my other car buying experiences (mine and my wife’s) I have always had that lingering feeling of doubt during the whole process and questioning myself if we should sign on the line or walk away. This is the first car purchase where I did not have that at all. This whole process just felt "right" from the minute I received Rachel’s first email and all the way through until I drove off the lot. She has made me a Mazda of Elk Grove fan and I truly appreciate everything she did to help me get into the car I have been wanting for months! But even then, she stood out to me from all the other representatives of other dealerships that I spoke with. She was quick to return my calls, and offered all the help she could with my research without pushing me to buy. Because of that, she helped me decide with confidence on the car that I wanted, and when I was ready to buy, the first thing I did was call her. She remembered exactly who I was and we picked up where we left off, and I was able to get the car I had my eye on for six months in only a few hours. She taught me how to operate a car that was far more advanced than I realized, and was a lot of fun during the test drive. She handed me off to Steve for the financing and he was every bit as solid as her. They were both able to answer my final questions, and we worked out some great pricing and terms with no hassle on either of our parts. I get buyer's remorse on a purchase that's a few hundred dollars, so driving off the lot with a brand new car didn't come easy to me, but this team was great and buying from them was an easy call that I haven't regretted once. It doesn't take long to figure out the staff is there to "assist", not "persist". Sales Rep Anthony Triggs presented the different financial options very clearly. He did not push me into making a decision I wasn't comfortable with. Garrett Oxnaes, Direct Sales and Lease Specialist, made sure I was 100% satisfied with the vehicle before driving off the lot. He was extremely thorough in regards to explaining the vehicles features and functionality. Steve Wray, Finance Specialist, made discussing and signing all of the paperwork quick and painless. Buying a car should not be a dreadful process. It should be an exciting experience that doesn't leave you second guessing the vehicle or location you purchased from. Mazda is manufacturing incredible vehicles, and their staff stands by the product. After doing your research, if you find yourself leaning towards Mazda, do yourself a favor and visit Elk Grove.
