Kenny, in the service department is probably by far her favorite person to see. He shows her so much attention, as if I’ve made his day by bringing her in. She gets treats from him and a lot of love. I could go to a location for service that’s much closer to home, but I choose to continue going to Mazda of Gladstone because the people I deal with when I need to go are so great. More

He took us on a fantastic test drive that took the Mazda through all kinds of terrain that really showed just how well the car drives. He has a great sense of humor, teasing about a hybrid I had wanted (exclusively for the mpg rating which our 6 also rates at). He is a very friendly guy which put me at ease with our purchase. When we got back to the dealership, Bob set us up with David to talk about financing. David also is a very friendly guy who did everything he could to help us out and get us the best deal. Overall We thank you both/all of you for being a different kind of dealership than what I had experienced before. More
Salesmen of The Year Goes To Erik van Keulen Im not gunna say Mazda of Gladstone doesn't have some stereotypical dealership qualities, because it does. But Erik van Keulen was a testament to what Im not gunna say Mazda of Gladstone doesn't have some stereotypical dealership qualities, because it does. But Erik van Keulen was a testament to what all sales people should strive to be. He was personable, friendly, and understood what we needed from a sales person. This was our first new vehicle ever, and we did not want to be pressured... at all. Erik did great showing us the vehicles we were interested in and giving us all the info we needed, without making feel like were were obligated to buy RIGHT THEN. When we sat down to run our credit and talk numbers was when things took a turn for the worst. Their finance guy, Jeff?, was nothing but pressure. After he gave us the numbers that were too high, we told him the numbers we needed and then told him we had to think on it and go pick up our child.. he kept bringing us more info and asking us if "we have a done deal" when we kept telling him the deal was not going to be made that day as we had to pick up our child. He ignored our need to leave and kept on his mission of a done deal that day. He didn't get it... we left not wanting to deal with a dealership ever again. We test drove a lot of other cars at other dealerships. We liked the Mazda 3 from Gladstone, but really didn't want to deal with the pressure again. Erik van Keulen kept in touch over text and 100% saved that sale. He worked with us. Respected what we needed out of a sales person, and stayed friendly and professional. I told him we only wanted to deal with him and didn't want anyone else contacting us. In the end, he got us the numbers we needed, and we love our car. In the long run, Mazda of Gladstone is fair and you CAN get the car you want at a competitive price. But you will have to work for it and your sales person will make all the difference. They definitely seem to have a mix of friendly's to lul you in, and then high pressure closers. We did have to deal with a different finance guy when we actually signed paperwork, but he seemed like a good dude. More
