Above and Beyond Let me begin by saying that I was DREADING having to buy a new car due to past dealer experiences... the pushy, deceiving salespeople who say "We can Let me begin by saying that I was DREADING having to buy a new car due to past dealer experiences... the pushy, deceiving salespeople who say "We can make you a crazy deal on this car if you buy today" when you clearly stated you are not ready to make a purchase yet or the crooked finance manager who after 2 hours negotiating, is still trying to trick you in thinking you have a good deal when clearly you are getting jobbed. Yes, when I first made contact with Carmen via email, I was fully expecting the same dealer tricks... the same stress.... and the same frustration to begin. Instead, Carmen was very patient and helpful with my questions and concerns. She assured me she was not making up quotes and finance deals that were just there to lure me in for a test drive. I thought it was kind of impressive, and it worked. I went in to Mazda of Gladstone soon after to meet with Carmen to look at and possibly drive a few models I was interested in. To my pleasant surprise, Carmen not only continued to be very patient and helpful, but she was also friendly and knowledgeable, and never once made me feel pressured to "make a deal". But make a deal I did and let me tell you it was PAINLESS! The good price I was quoted had not changed. The managing and finance team were upfront, friendly and reasonable! Once again, I was impressed. The good experience did not stop there,however. The dealership was prompt and kept me at ease when remedying a couple of very minor issues I was experiencing with my new car. The people at Mazda of Gladstone, especially Carmen, went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase, and that is quite refreshing. I had approached all three of the Portland area Mazda dealers, plus one down in Salem, and Manny was the most responsive and helpful of all of them. I had done my research long before and new exactly what I wanted, and was on a tight schedule. Manny picked up on that and helped move the process along. Best of all, Manny helped me to get a great deal, including a Mazda loyalty bonus, better than what the other Mazda dealers eventually got around to offering. In general, I enjoyed my experience with Mazda Gladstone, but Manny demonstrated professionalism and great customer service. More
