My first Mazda? MORE LIKE MAZ-DONE!! The team at Mazda of Gladstone was efficient in getting me the car that I wanted and doing so at a great pace. My first contact was with Kathleen Young and she sent me info for the car I was seeking instantaneously! It was also super easy & quick to set up an appointment that same day. I really enjoyed the speed at which she works, that's my type of efficiency! Zoom Zoom! My sales person was Clark Salvey and that dude is the man!! He was promptly ready when I arrived and had the car all ready to go. The test drive was amazing and it lucked out that when we came back there was a black CX-30 Turbo right there which we ended up purchasing. Clark pointed out some great things about the car and was an absolute peach to work with! He was very personable and we connected over our dogs who are both named Brooklyn! He stayed with us through the entire process and made things nice and easy. We also briefly met with Sou who gave us the run down on the costs and the paint protection product which we chose not to go with. He was very professional and we didn't haggle over the price (it was fair in our opinion), we just wanted a smooth transaction. My two complaints came near the end. The first was that it took awhile to finish all the paperwork because there was only one finance department person to close and there was someone ahead of us so we waited for 30-45 mins. However, it was understandable since it was 7:00 PM or so. We were also hangry from being there at 5 PM and not eating dinner. The second is the push on the extended and misc. warranties. Yes I get it that it's your job to push those things as they are a good revenue source for you but please read the audience when it's not going to happen. I literally had to say, "I'm going to be honest, you can say whatever but the warranties are not gonna happen." Once again, my hangriness came into play and it was 8:00 PM and we wanted to get home. Maybe it was my fault for even listening in the first place and I should've just said NO when the sales pitch began but oh well. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my experience and purchase of my CX-30 at Mazda of Gladstone. I would highly recommend them to any of my friends and family. Their inventory was the biggest out of everyone in Portland and their customer service was outstanding. I can't tag him on here but BIG SHOUT-OUT TO MY MAN CLARK SALVEY!! Renze did a fantastic job of trying to help me understand the technology on my new CX-30. I don't live in the area and don't know my way around so he set my GPS so I was able to get home safely. Fantastic experience with Mazda Gladstone. Went in to test drive a car, and walked out with a certified pre-owned 2019 Mazda! Wasn't expecting to purchase a car but they worked with me on pricing and mad test drive a car, and walked out with a certified pre-owned 2019 Mazda! Had a great buying experience working with Joey. He was friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with. Purchased a new 2021 CX5 at a great price, however the day after purchase it had a check engine light. friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with. Purchased a new 2021 CX5 at a great price, however the day after purchase it had a check engine light. Service department then tells me it needs a new thermostat valve sensor. I’ve now been waiting over 3 weeks for the part, and can’t drive the car. The dealership has made no effort to apologize, provide a rental car or provide any kind of support other than to say just wait for the part. I wouldn’t have purchased the vehicle if I had known it had an issue I wouldn’t be able to drive it...David Valdez at the service department has been great to work with. More
