Wanted to get an OEM accessory installed on my vehicle. Since part was not purchased from them, but was purchased from an Acura dealer, they refused to install it. I then called Pauly Acura in Highland Par Since part was not purchased from them, but was purchased from an Acura dealer, they refused to install it. I then called Pauly Acura in Highland Park, they were happy to do it and completed the job the very next day. I tried to buy two Acura vehicles in the past few months from Libertyville, in both instances they were about $3000 to $4000 more than what I actually paid. I gave them 1st and last shot in both instances. Libertyville Acura.....you lost two sales, any future sales from my family and service on any of my Acura vehicles in the future. I tried to buy my vehicles from you, and now since I got a much better deal somewhere else you want to penalize me? Nice customer relations! More
i bought five acuras and a used honda van in the last ten years. Four of the transmissions were replaced at 40/60/60/80, the first TL (01) I traded for an 03, the trans was replaced at 40K, at 100K on new tr years. Four of the transmissions were replaced at 40/60/60/80, the first TL (01) I traded for an 03, the trans was replaced at 40K, at 100K on new trans, again needs replacement. Replaced the Honda Odessy trans within three months of buying the van. The dealershiped walked away, I paid for it even though Honda had a recall. On my 02 TL the trans was replaced as I was driving the car out of the dealership. The second 03 the trans was replaced at 80K and I sold it. The 3rd 03 TL within less than a half a year traded for a Toyota as the trans was breaking down. Now, I am thankfull that Honda replaced three taransmissions, but it is their defective product and the defect does not stop. You can call me a total fool for buying cars that are defective. Mr. Bockwinkel wants $5,000 to replace the broken again transmission. Nobody at the dealership can answer, how are these transmissions fixed or it is just the way Honda passed the expense for their product when the warranty for their defective product expires or is the cost to replace eqiuitable after the car is driven of the lot and the consumer pays. Being a dumb consumer, I now realize, Honda does not care, Acura Bkockwinkel does not care, as long as their making money. After the warranties expire so does the concern. Iam not looking for a freebe, but an equitable solution on a defective vehicle that Honda manufactured is a given. Being the original owner I can not except, it is and old car and there is no warranty. More

I purchased a 05 MDX about 3 weeks ago. Earlier this week the service engine light came on, after having some routine maintenance done elsehwere and the problem not clearing up. Called Acura of Liberty week the service engine light came on, after having some routine maintenance done elsehwere and the problem not clearing up. Called Acura of Libertyville. James Won put me in touch with the Used Car Sales Mgr Mike Hatch. He walked us through a couple possible solutions and then helped to secure a loaner and set up an appointment for service. Just received a call back that the car is ready, everything was repaired and Mike comped the entire bill. The repairs were more routine maintenance than mechanical failure but he still took care of it. I'll definitely buy here again and get my car serviced here. More
My husband and I bought a 2008 Acura MDX. It is actually the car I drive and I am really comfortable doing so. We traded in my 2003 Signature Lincoln Towncar. Here in the northern suburbs of Chicago, Il, it the car I drive and I am really comfortable doing so. We traded in my 2003 Signature Lincoln Towncar. Here in the northern suburbs of Chicago, Il, it is soooo important to drive a vehicle that you are comfortable in and feel safe during winter driving. James Won demonstrated the Acura and took us on a test drive to show us how it drives and how comfortable it is. He showed us the features on our Acura. This was something I did not get before. Sooooooo important to me! Bruce (and his crew), in the garage, added the things we purchased for the car. When I went to pick it up, Bruce explained thoroughly how everything worked. I liked the idea that they gave me another Acura (at no additional cost) to drive while mine was having work completed. We also attended the dealerships monthly owners clinic and learned even more about our car. This was so important for me. I believe I understand all the features of our car and am immensely satisfied!! More
I needed an express oil service. I had a busy week but had only certain amount of time to get an oil change. Matt was the service advisor I had worked with while Bruce was unavailable or off. I explained had only certain amount of time to get an oil change. Matt was the service advisor I had worked with while Bruce was unavailable or off. I explained to Matt that I needed the express oil service and that I had a wedding to attend to that eventing. He understood my time constraints. After the paperwork and explanation of work being performed, I went to the lounge. After my short wait in the customer lounge, he came to talk to me about my car. My car was ready and was washed in about an hour. Matt was efficient and understanding. He is very professional. More

I just bought a 2010 MDX and my first service visit was unbelievable. I had a question about the nav system and when asked Bruce he told me no. He said get Glen (owner) to do it. I couldn't believe it.. unbelievable. I had a question about the nav system and when asked Bruce he told me no. He said get Glen (owner) to do it. I couldn't believe it...I just laid out $45K and this moron told be I can't help you. xxx! I called Glen and told him and never knew what happened. Did he fire the guy, I would, did he throw my complaint in the trash, did he totally blow it off, and I have no idea. No communication. They got my money so I guess it really doesn't matter. A little follow-up would have been the professional thing to do. Stay away from these guys if you can. I told Acura in Torrance, CA but there's little they can do I guess being over 2,000 miles away and all. They (service guys) have all this tech training but a little common courtesy training would be much better served. HORRIBLE!!! More
Highly reccommend Acura of Libertyville to anyone in dire need of service. The building is clean and the staff is very professional, which says alot for the GM. While traveling through Libertyville, my need of service. The building is clean and the staff is very professional, which says alot for the GM. While traveling through Libertyville, my Tahoe started to act up. Luckily, I was able to swing into this dealership. Shelly in service greated me with a big smile that took my troubles away. She introduced me to Keith and Bob from the parts department. They worked together as a team, gave me several options without pressure, and then had the parts I needed in stock. I was very pleased. It is a long story at first i was happy with the service, this is my second consecutive acura. sales, arlington and libertyville. over the last 3 years i have had consistent problems with the navi system. this is my second consecutive acura. sales, arlington and libertyville. over the last 3 years i have had consistent problems with the navi system. shelly refused to have it taken care of. instead over the next three years she proceeded to do unauthorized warranty work for the $$$. for ie: i brought it in for a battery and 45ooo check, and of course fix my navi. instead, she replaced seat heaters, starter and various other parts. when i picked it up the 45k was not done. when i questioned the purpose of the seat heater replacement, she said it is always done whith the 45k check up. BUT THE 45K CHECK UP WAS OT DONE, and it is not routine to the service. then she finally did the 45k and told me i needed breaks, we talked about the importance of that and i ok'd it. go pick up car, no brake work. also the navi, still declined. so i brought it up to the owner Glen Bockwinkel and he said he already heard form shelly the story and i was not welcome there. long long stlory, he said i couldn;t buy abother car there. little did he know that when i tried to contact him 2 weeks later, it was to tell thim that arlingto acura found the issue with the navi but he hung up on mem so he never got to know. they do unethical things there and i want to take this story to the news!! sorry for the typos, but i am physically sick over my ordeal with libertyville acura More
