Awful So I start my story by say that I drove over an hour to McGrath to test drive an Elantra value edition because they had what appeared to be the lowest So I start my story by say that I drove over an hour to McGrath to test drive an Elantra value edition because they had what appeared to be the lowest price. Now I understand that they show the price with ever rebate available ( even the ones that most people don't qualify for) but thought why not go look. So I get to McGrath and ask for Shannon who I was working with I've email. She pointed me to stay with the sales person Leo that I was with, we drove to the lot and picked out the car. We got in and after explaining the cars features he proceeded to play on Facebook the entire time. We get back to the dealer and go over everything, I explain that I'm not at the purchasing phase yet just wanted to drive. So he goes to get his manager, 15mins later I meet Peter. Peter proceeded to question why I don't want to buy now, when I want to buy, why not today, the car won't last blah blah blah all the way out the door. So after thinking it over for a few days I email Leo my price with a copy of their sales ad which showed the Elantra SE for $13,999 MSRP $19,990. So I offered my price close to that due to MSRP for the Value edition was $20,790. Leo was very adamant that they could work with that due to it being the end of the month. I asked for a contract to sign via email so I didn't drive all the way there to find out that wasn't the offer. I shorty after got a call from Peter, which I missed and called back within 5 mins, Armi answered and assured me he would call back in a few hours, nothing all day. A few days later Peter calls back and tells me my offer was ridiculous and that before I make an offer I need to do better research so as to not waste his time. I then ended the call. A week later Armi calls back and asked how my experience was, I told her not good and explained what happened. She ask what they could do to earn my business, I explained that they can beat the price I have, she said they would and sent me an email detailing the price and rebates applied. Then Peter calls back, to explain that the price quoted wouldn't be honored as I had to pay for "upgrades" to the vehicle... Nitrogen in the tires and trim guards for $2k! The whole sale and install of that is $150.... I essence I will never recommend McGrath to anyone nor will I purchase a vehicle from them. Awful sales manager that lies to get u in the door is not a place I want to give my money to! More
