We had spoken with Anthony on the phone prior to coming in and he was very thorough in narrowing down exactly what we where looking for in a new car purchase. When we arrived at McGrath Honda Anthony already had a couple cars warmed up and ready for us to look at. Prior to looking at the cars Anthony explained the McGrath Advantage and what we could expect from him and the dealership and he set some high expectations. We test drove a couple Accords and Anthony explain to us about how Honda Cars are put together and all the safety features we would have never thought of to ask about. Anthony answered all our question in detail, and got us to narrow our choice down to a 2012 Honda Accord with 45k miles. Anthony took us around and introduced us to every department we may be working with in the future and explained their roll and what to expect, that made us feel like we were part of a club. He went through all the additional items we could buy slowly over time and there was nothing overwhelming about the buying experience. Anthony listened to us on the phone, over delivered on high expectations, and gave us the best car buying experience we have ever had. Post appointments for auto start etc where handled by Anthony and quickly set up. I truly believe for the best car buying experience you will ever have, you have to go see Anthony at McGrath Honda in Elgin, his passion for what he does and for his clients is obvious. More

Good buying experience I have purchased cars before and many people who post on here always complain about how long of a process it is. It just takes that long. Between taking a test drive, negotiating, and finally getting financing through Honda... it takes roughly 4 hours. My experience with Honda was a good experience. I dont consider great if I only got a great deal. I consider great if every car desireable is on the lot and no hassel getting in and out. McGrath didnt have the exact car I wanted so I had to wait a week for delivery, not that big of a deal. Only complaint would be the hassel at the end trying to get you buy extended warranty and all the stain resistant and paint coat upgrades. I was clear I didnt want it and we moved on. Again, it wasnt that big of a push and they were very polite about it. I worked with Anthony Juliano who was a big help and very honest. The negotiations went well as we both understood each others positions. In the end, they try to work with you. The day we picked up our car, Anthony put a red bow on it for my wife's birthday so that was a nice touch. Great group of people. More

NOT HAPPY!! I put a deposit on a car on 12/10. I asked for an "OUT THE DOOR" price. I specifically stated, include tax, title, license everything. We agreed on $1 I put a deposit on a car on 12/10. I asked for an "OUT THE DOOR" price. I specifically stated, include tax, title, license everything. We agreed on $17.000 even. When I returned the next day to pick it up the price had risen by $780. When I asked why they said it was the balance on my trade. I then asked what part of "OUT THE DOOR" price don't you understand. They claimed they never include the trade balance in the price. I asked again, what part of "OUT THe DOOR" price don't you understand? They said it was a misunderstang. I thought those kind of games died years ago. After a half an hour of wasted conversation they refused to budge. Since my car was on it's last legs I bought it anyway. The car wasn't the issue, their tactics were. Oh yeah, they through in a set of floor mats. Wow. More

He was very knowledgeable, not just about the car, but about interest rates, equity, the difference between financing and leasing. He was very easy going and straight forward, and was always making sure that everyone was on the same page as we moved forward. I also want to take the time to say that the service department is excellent as well. Any time I bring my car in it is always seen to promptly and if not, the service writers always communicate with me when the car will be ready. I can't think of any other dealer I would buy a car from, and I will always go with McGrath. More
