Hello, I purchase my vehicle (a 2020 L certified Lexus NX) from Mcgrath Lexus of Chicago in August 2022. I've had the vehicle serviced approximately 3 times. I recall my first 2 interactions and customer service with Justin and Daniel being excellent. My third time in for scheduled service in October 2023 with Mark was terrible. During my 2nd service visit around September 2023, I overheard a customer that was expressing extreme dissatisfaction with the service at Mcgrath Lexus, and she was thanking a particular service consultant for being kind and efficient. I remember being shocked to hear another customer so upset, then the following month I have this terrible experience with Mark! I called the service center on October 11, 2023 and spoke with Andy. I explained that my vehicle was making a loud beeping noise, and I couldn't determine where the noise was coming from, that my radio was off, but that I recorded a video of the beeping noise. Andy scheduled a service visit for me to bring my car in on October 12, 2023. When I arrived on October 12, 2023 for my service appointment at 3:00pm, I was greeted by Mark McLawhorn, who asked me what the reason for my visit was. I let Mark know that I had an appointment regarding the beeping noise. He asked me how many times the noise happened. I told him once. He then laughed and said we're not going to be able to find anything. I told him I didn't understand why I was told to schedule an appointment, if he was telling me nothing could be done. I told Mark that I've had various vehicles over the years (BMW, Acura, now Lexus) and that I wasn't happy with the customer service he was providing and that I could have purchased a vehicle for a lot less if this was the customer service I was going to receive. Mark then said "what does that have to do with anything." Mark then waived Andy over to assist me, I let Andy know that I wanted the vehicle inspected as scheduled, re-explained the noise, and showed Andy the video. Andy told me there would be a charge of approximately $100 to inspect the vehicle. I said okay, but let Andy know I didn't believe I should have to pay for an inspection. An hour later, Andy let me know that the vehicle was ready and they didn't find anything wrong with it and that he waived the inspection charge. When I arrived home the same day, a light appeared on the dash saying the key battery is low, which made me think my vehicle could not have been inspected very thoroughly. Mark didn't think twice about laughing at a customer's concerns or how the service experience was handled. I won't think twice about continuing to spend my money at this dealership if the Lexus service experience doesn't improve. My experience was NOT amazing. Andrew Wilson
