Salesperson: Casey Baca Department: Pre‑Owned Dealership: McGrath Lexus of Westmont Vehicle Shown: 2023 Lexus RX350 F‑Sport (Certified Pre‑Owned, under 10,000 miles) My wife and I Pre‑Owned Dealership: McGrath Lexus of Westmont Vehicle Shown: 2023 Lexus RX350 F‑Sport (Certified Pre‑Owned, under 10,000 miles) My wife and I recently visited McGrath Lexus of Westmont to see a 2023 Lexus RX350 F‑Sport CPO with under 10k miles, and our experience with pre‑owned salesperson Casey Baca was one of the most unprofessional encounters we’ve ever had at any dealership — luxury or otherwise. 1. Inappropriate and pushy behavior before we even arrived Casey called me shortly before her shift ended and repeatedly pressed me to confirm whether we were “actually going to buy today” so she could decide if she “wanted to stay.” I’ve purchased more than 10 vehicles, and I’ve never had a salesperson openly admit they only care about staying if the sale is guaranteed. It was unprofessional and set the tone for everything that followed. 2. Poor greeting and dismissive attitude upon arrival When we arrived, Casey barely greeted us, barely acknowledged my wife, and acted like handing us the keys to the RX350 F‑Sport was an inconvenience. She sent us on a solo test drive, which ended up revealing just how misleading her description of the vehicle had been. 3. The RX350 F‑Sport was nowhere near the “perfect CPO” she claimed The specific 2023 RX350 F‑Sport she hyped up as “perfect,” “flawless,” and “CPO quality” was anything but. During our inspection, we found: • Scratches and chips throughout the exterior • Stains in the rear cargo area • Obvious body filler and paint work on the rear bumper, where chunks had been patched and painted over For a vehicle with fewer than 10,000 miles — and one being sold as a Certified Lexus — the condition was unacceptable and absolutely not what was advertised. 4. Dismissive, eye‑rolling attitude when confronted with the issues When we brought the problems to her attention, Casey didn’t apologize or take responsibility. She dismissed every concern with “that’s not that bad,” rolled her eyes, and stayed glued to her phone. She directed almost all communication to me and barely acknowledged my wife, who was standing right next to me and asking questions. The disrespect was blatant. 5. Attempted deflection instead of accountability Instead of addressing the RX’s condition, Casey tried to deflect by claiming my pristine Genesis GV70 — garage‑kept, spotless, and barely driven — had “blemishes too.” It was an unnecessary and unprofessional attempt to downplay the issues with the Lexus. 6. Not a Lexus‑level experience Nothing about this interaction reflected the standards Lexus claims to uphold. The attitude, the misrepresentation of a CPO vehicle, the dismissiveness, and the lack of basic customer service were all unacceptable. We left immediately and will not return. If this is the level of professionalism McGrath Lexus of Westmont accepts from their pre‑owned department, it speaks volumes. I strongly recommend working with a different salesperson or a different dealership entirely. More
