However, after each service—this one and the previous one—they don’t update the records of the services they do on my car, and they keep asking me for services for the next inspection that I’ve already done. Your service manager Robert Barth has ensured I'll never go there again. Within 5 minutes of inquiring about my GMC Terrain, I got the distinct feeling he was talking down and I couldn't figure why. I was i go there again. Within 5 minutes of inquiring about my GMC Terrain, I got the distinct feeling he was talking down and I couldn't figure why. I was inquiring about my car, a possible loaner, and other Normal expectations. When I felt he was giving me the run around, I asked if there were issues with a loaner for the next day... that's when he told I was being pushy! At that point, I raised my voice and I corrected that was being inquisitive and not pushy and he countered two more times. When i asked for a manager, was surprised when he smugly pointed at his badge! When my family and i began to walkout, i turned to catch his name from badge... he took it off and tossed on the desk!!! BOY was i surprised! At 58 years old I can honestly say that I've never had a rude rep this. I don't know if it matter, but it matters to me. I have 2 GMCs 1 a red truck and this one... I'm At a loss as to where my future maintenance when I need it. More
My name is Jesse Martinez and I am writing because of the treatment that I recieved at your local GMC Dealer in Mckinney TX. On Jan 20,at appx 8am, our GMC Terrain would not engage in neither Drive Nor Re treatment that I recieved at your local GMC Dealer in Mckinney TX. On Jan 20,at appx 8am, our GMC Terrain would not engage in neither Drive Nor Reverse and we were stranded at the Walmart parking lot in Princeton, TX. I contacted the Mckinney GMC Dealer at 8:40 to make an appointment which was confirmed. Our vehicle was towed to the dealership, where we were advised that after the diagnostic, the dealership would contact the warrantee company and get approval for a "Loaner". On Jan 21, I followed up by phone and was informed that the diagnostic was still not complete. The Rep advised that that the Diagnostic usually take "24 to 48 hours" to complete. On Thursday, Jan 22 rather than Calling, we drove to the dealership to get an update on the Diagnostic status and to inquire on a possible loaner. The only availble Service Rep was Robert Barth, who attended to us. I explained that it was now 48 hours and requested an updated status on our vehicle. By Happenstance, a Technician walked up to the Rep to retrieve the paperwork for the next car and Robert advised me it was our vehicle. Delighted, I asked how many hours before we would know something and should we return later today. Robert stated that the diagnotic would likely not be completed by end of day and explained it may take time to diagnose the vehicle which seemed Fair enough. So that I would understand, I followed up with several questions that seemed "legitimate" questions to me. Within several minutes, I noticed or perceived a very laxed attitude toward me and I felt like I was bothering him. I could also feel like he was talking down to me. I still proceeded with asking several follow up questions. *Would it be possible that the Diagnostic be complete by Fri Jan 23. *Would we get contacted by someone when we had an update. and a few other questions related to the car, follow up calls on status, loaner etc. *My final question was if there was issue Loaners availabily? Robert's response quite frankly supprised me, he told me that he had already giving me all the info and had no more info. He preceeded to tell me that I was being "pushy" and I replied that I was being "inquisitive" and not pushy. He counter that I was being pushy (at least 3 times he told me I was being pushy). Thats when I did raise my voice and told him to "dont talk down to me" and he stood up asked me to step into the Bay and told me "I already explained to you and maybe you didnt hear or was not listening! He then turned around and walked back inside and left me standing pretty shocked! I followed and asked if maybe there is a manager that I could talk to. Interestingly, Robert pointed to his ID Badge and explained that he is the Service Manager! I stood and stared at him for a sec then replied "I'll go and find someone else to talk to. Nothing els was said, and we began leaving, then it occured to me I needed his name so I walked up to read his badge. To my amazement, he grabbed his Badge, removed it, and threw it underneath the counter! I was pretty shocked but we left anyway since I managed to get his name. I've spent several going over this so that I was partial and fair. My conclusion is that I cannot imagine any Rep acting in this manner. In a nutshell, I have a 2014 GMC Sierra & now we have the 2023 GMC Terrain, and I'm pretty conflicted as to where I'll take them in the future to have them serviced. I dont plan on ever going back to this Dealer again... Ever. Additionally, to be honest, I dont plan to give a good rating as I dont feel I was treated fairly. I consider myself a pretty fair person and I'm so happy with my Sierra, I've been considering a new one since I dont like the Ford. Obviously, this puts me in a predicament for future Services for my GMC vehicles. Sincerely, Jesse The Dealership info: McKinney Buick GCM 3950 Central Expy, Mckinney, TX 75069 469-804-2388 More
