I bought the extended warranty for my Buick Encore GX from McKinney Buick GMC, thinking it would be an easy process if I ever needed to use it, because the dealership's finance rep strongly encouraged us from McKinney Buick GMC, thinking it would be an easy process if I ever needed to use it, because the dealership's finance rep strongly encouraged us to purchase it. I eventually had to use it after experiencing electronic problems. I then spoke with an advisor to schedule a time to bring the vehicle in, and they told us over the phone that all warranty work required prior scheduling and that we needed to bring the vehicle in the morning so a technician would be available to inspect the issue. However, this turned out to be false information, even though we had scheduled ahead to bring the vehicle in the morning. The advisor didn't update me on the vehicle's status until I called in the afternoon and learned that the dealership needed to keep my car for 24 to 48 hours before they could diagnose it. Two days later, the vehicle still hadn't been inspected or diagnosed. It wasn't until the following week that the advisor provided an update. The advisor's communication about the status was awful. I couldn't reach the advisor for days by phone or text. We were without a vehicle for several days, which was very inconvenient. It took over a week to get any update on the vehicle; the technician identified the electronic issue causing problems with the infotainment display system. In the past, McKinney Buick GMC under the Lonestar Brand was incredible. We would have been given a loaner if the old dealership had known we'd be without our vehicle for several days. But not McKinney Buick GMC. I was told to wait for the warranty claim to get a loaner vehicle. When we finally received a loaner, we found out that the warranty under MPP doesn't even cover the daily rental rate, and we would have to pay out of pocket for the difference. Plus, we can only borrow the vehicle for 10 days. We informed the advisor about the loan vehicle situation, hoping our Buick Encore GX would be repaired within those 10 days. It didn't happen; the advisor then blamed the manufacturer for the delayed shipment of parts when I finally got ahold of him after a few days of no return communication from him. But it's more likely that the dealership didn’t prioritize fixing my vehicle or ask to expedite the shipment of the parts. Needless to say, taking my vehicle to the dealership and getting it back took over three weeks. We were without a vehicle for a long time. This was a terrible customer experience due to poor communication, no warranty coverage for a loaner, no loaner vehicle option from the dealership, and long delays in repairing my vehicle. More
Do not buy a car from this dealership. I repeat do not buy from this dealership!!! I bought a brand new 2026 GMC Yukon XL 3.5 months ago. Great communication from the salesman did a great I repeat do not buy from this dealership!!! I bought a brand new 2026 GMC Yukon XL 3.5 months ago. Great communication from the salesman did a great job with closing the job. Of course signs us up for every single warranty possible as I am okay with it in case anything happens. Since signing the paperwork and of course the dealership gets their money it’s been a downhill spiral sense. Had an upgraded light up emblem on the front grill put in. First rain storm the lighted G starts to dim in color. Go up for first appointment roughly 1 month from buying the car. For I guess the check up they recommend to get too make sure the car is running great. This is when I bring it up about the emblem they say no problem we will order you a new one. I am very satisfied at this point but….. a month goes by no call from them like they said… so I start calling they are great at having voicemails but i guess they dont listen at voicemails as my wife and I called over ten times. So then we finally go to the service department to ask ourselves about it since no phone calls can be returned. Then here comes the excuses they are on back order sorry sir we will call you when we get ahold to one. Magically they call my wife in two days and they found one in Tennessee they are going to call us when it arrives. Month and half later still no call or return call back so of course we go back in last week to check on it and it’s there. I’m like sweet I will look at my calendar and book something online to get the repair done. I’m walking out happy at this point knowing we are going to get it completed today Monday August 17th. I come in at 12:50 for my 1:00 appointment meet a very nice service employee. I tell him what I am there for. I go ahead and tell him he writes everything down ask if any other problems have came up. I go ahead and mention to him that the leather is already starting to peel/ crack on two doors. To remind you this is a brand new 2026 car that’s roughly $100,000 that shouldn’t be occurring at this life of the car. He says he has never ever seen anything like this since being at the dealership. But he will look into it. I’m like perfect thank you as I am leaving he says it will be a few hours so I decide to leave the dealership via other transportation as they don’t provide loaners. Then here it comes at 2:30 I receive a phone call. Hello sir we want to let you know that this is no easy job. They need to diagnose the problem but 2.5 months ago we have already diagnosed the problem the first time for almost 3 hours including an oil change. Not sure how take five can do it in 15 minutes? I go on a tell him sir the part is already at your shop. He responds back stunned to oh let me give you a call back in 30 minutes. Frustrated I go ahead and head back to the dealership to see what’s going on. Now I pull up to dealership seeing my car in the parking lot unattended too. Walk back into the service department ask if I can speak to a manager. As I am waiting I ask the lady who is very nice to go see if she can check on my car. She comes back saying the bumper is off of it in the shop. Knowing that my car was in the parking lot. At this point I am super mad as we are back on the roller coaster of what’s going to happen today. At this point I am having to leave to grab my kids and be a parent as I have taken off three and half day in 4 months to grab maintenance on a car that should not have to be at this stage of the cars life. The manager tries to calm things over by offering a rental car on Friday and to complete it that day. We will see at this point I guess. Moral of the story if you want an amazing sales experience this is your place . But a horrific warranty/service experience that we ultimately paid thousand and thousands of dollars for this is your dealership!! More

The service team is not very attentive or helpful. My experience with them was not good. I waited at least 5 minutes to be greeted when I walked in for each of my three visits.
