My visit was to the Service department for oil change and tire rotation. Upon arrival two of the three lanes into the check in were full and third was blocked by an empty car. Took my truck in for service Thursday around 1 pm for oil change and a check coolant level light. Toll Sam I need the truck back ASAP. He also notified me of 2 recalls that needed to be done. He called me around 5 on Thursday to tell me the surge tank would need to be replaced and would cost $567. I declined the repair as it was too expensive for a simple repair and an $88 part. I also mentioned I need the truck to go out of town Friday as soon as the truck was ready. I called Sam Friday at noon to see if it was ready an he told me they where about to start working on a recall. He said it would be ready around 3. Seamed like a long time to change out a engine heater cord. I call back at 3 and they told me the truck was ready. They sent the shuttle out at 3:45 and finally left around 4:15 after fixing the problem with the cashier who told me they would charge me a $150 diagnostics fee that I was not told about. Not very happy with the overall experience. Not planning on going back. I was also interested in trading the truck in for a new one but this experience with McKinney GMC has made me think twice about your dealership! Thanks Derek More
