every underhanded deceptive pricing tactic in the book I went to the dealership to test drive an IS 250 and compare to a couple other vehicles. At first I was comparing to an Infiniti. I quickly decided I went to the dealership to test drive an IS 250 and compare to a couple other vehicles. At first I was comparing to an Infiniti. I quickly decided on the IS 250 and began to narrow what options I wanted on car. Having found several IS 250's on the internet with a range of options, I requested pricing data in order to compare features and relative value. After much back and forth with Russ and Johnnie, I gave up and leased a Lexus from another dealer. Essentially they made it crystal clear that they wouldn't raise a finger to assist me or answer pricing questions until I put down a deposit. Note after note followed with increasing pressure to put down a deposit before I even picked a vehicle. Even after I picked a specific vehicle, the gave me obtuse answers and high pressure tactics. They acted like sleazy used car salesman without a shred of integrity or openness. The entire experience was inconsistent with a luxury brand. I leased a Lexus elsewhere from a salesperson who went out of his way to locate a vehicle in the colors and options I wanted. More
