The two times I've been there they couldn't tell me what the $1000 MMI software update does. Your Audi help number people couldn't either, they said to call another dealer because it was a service issue. Au the $1000 MMI software update does. Your Audi help number people couldn't either, they said to call another dealer because it was a service issue. Audi's website states that the update has {some} safety related updates. If that is true, yet it's not free, that doesn't say much for Audi's safety stance does it. Also, setting yourself up for a law suit if someone were to get hurt on account of the update not being automatic. Do people really just fork over almost $1000 for something that they don't even know what it does? The items are obviously things that needed fixing or were flawed. If it's just maps then it's a simple database file, like googleMaps does for free. Also again, my steering wheel adjustment (the up and down adjustment) stopped working. It still goes in and out, but not up and down. I checked several blogs including Audizine.com, Audiworld.com, and a couple of others. Several posts said that all it needs is a gear in the steering column fixed - they also said that Audi will tell you it needs a COMPLETE new steering column for $4000! They recommended taking it to a regular mechanic. I mentioned this to the person assisting me and them seemed indifferent. One more, more, thing. Disconnect the battery and you have to take it to the dealer to get it reset? That's unacceptable. Computers have ROM memory to maintain the loss of this data. It would seem to me that Audi has this as an intentional engineering flaw to make you service it through them. For a higher end product, (at least here in the states) the service center in Albuquerque is not very personal. Oh! And the automatic part of the windows, the way they go all the way up with an extended hold didn't go up and down all the way as they are supposed to. I googled the fix when I got home and did that myself. regards, David M Jones More
The dealership’s representative Mike Gomez is 5 star. Communication has been outstanding! I never had to ask for an update—he always was the first to communicate with me the status. I was out of town with a new Q7 when the car developed a coolant leak. After having it towed to this dealer, the people started looking into the problem immediately and helped me to find someplace close to coolant leak. After having it towed to this dealer, the people started looking into the problem immediately and helped me to find someplace close to stay and supplied transportation to/from the hotel. The problem was diagnosed early the next morning, unfortunately it took a few days to get the parts and make repairs. Everyone did what they said would do and acted very professionally. More
