Although this Porsche purchase was not for the company's flagship 911 Turbo, as was my purchase 35 years ago, Mr. Skaggs dealt with me as a knowledgeable consumer and genuine fan of the brand. It took several weeks to schedule an appointment after a driver alert warning light appeared. I was scheduled just for a diagnosis and possible software update. I live out of town and had to wait. The servi driver alert warning light appeared. I was scheduled just for a diagnosis and possible software update. I live out of town and had to wait. The service advisor said that the diagnosis would take an hour and if needed the update another hour. He then said to check back in 4.5 hours. I reminded him that I had to wait as I lived out of town. He said that he would ask if it could be expedited, it did not sound promising. He next spoke to me almost 4.5 hours later to share the results of the diagnosis. I opted not to do the repair work at that time, a loaner was required and I had scheduling conflicts. An hour later he told me that the car wash was backed up and would need at least another half hour. I said never mind I need to leave. I was able to drive away 5 hours and 25 minutes after my scheduled hour appointment. I am disappointed that there was no attempt to provide service in a timely manner. They were polite , courteous, and respectful; unfortunately not timely. More
