I felt strongly that my repairs were recommended primarily based on a profit motive rather than on safety and functionality. I brought the car in to the dealership to perform their “B” service inte primarily based on a profit motive rather than on safety and functionality. I brought the car in to the dealership to perform their “B” service interval. They seem to take this opportunity to identify anything that they could add to the visit! An example would be a battery replacement ($500) when I responded that I had to jump start the car once. The “Advisor” didn’t take into account that I told them I had left the hazards flashers on all night by mistake and I had no other issues with the battery. Another recommendation was to have front Sway bar links serviced ($725) based on their “video inspection” which I did not experience any of the usual symptoms in handling. Some basic safety service items were not taken care of; one specific item that was not brought to my attention was my wiper blades, which were streaking badly and I ended up replacing them myself.. Another observation was after the dealer visit I looked under the hood and noticed a couple of disturbing items. The cap to the washer fluid reservoir was not replaced properly and was the top engine plastic cover was loose. I corrected both issues myself. Further review by me discovered a headlight inside cover was off the back of the headlight module and that bulb was hanging out of its socket. Now I do not believe that had anything to do with that issue, I was disappointed that they did not discover this situation and correct it during their “inspection” of my vehicle. I saw that issue after looking over my engine compartment for approximately 5 minutes - and I do not have the “trained” eye that their trained mechanic is supposed to have. Especially at $340/hour shop rate!!! My advisor couldn’t tell me what size engine (or if Turbo or not) was in my car and he had access to my VIN to look it up! He preferred to guess rather than look it up for me! I won’t be going back there. That was by far the worst Dealer experience I have ever had!! More
