Ms. Rodriguez, we have done everything in our power to assist. The service visits you referenced were all visits you had scheduled for specific concerns, and weren’t all related to the alignment concern. The 9 visits are as follows: 1) 7.8.19, your 1st visit with us 20,000 mile maintenance, along with a concern for "over-torqued" wheel lug bolts that you stated were caused by Discount Tire. You declined diagnosis of this concern to confirm your suspicion. warped front rotors were suspected, pads and rotors estimated but were declined. 2) 7.23.19, you requested a 4-wheel alignment. it was completed, before and after adj. were noted w/factory specs. Ready same day. 3) 7.25.19, you stated the vehicle was pulling to the right. The car was test-driven by alignment tech and team leader, found to be operating as designed, ready 7.26.19   4) 8.5.19, you stated the steering wheel was off-center (not pulling). Shop foreman test drove with you, confirming concern. We re-aligned to re-center the steering wheel due to the front toe being off since the last alignment. We refunded you for the alignment performed on 7.23.19, for the inconvenience of having to return. (Note: alignment settings can be affected by potholes and rough road surfaces, this could have been the case here, being the reason the settings were off since last visit) ). Ready 8.6.19    5) 8.12.19, you stated the steering wheel was off-center slightly (not pulling). We confirmed, re-centered it again along with a SW update for the steering rack at no charge. another est. for the vibration while braking concern was requested, we provided it as before, you declined it. It was then ready on 8.22.19 6) 8.26.19, you stated a rattle from behind the steering wheel. Confirmed noise from steering wheel control module. Replaced module, test drove to confirm repair. Ready 8.27.19. 7) 9.16.19, you stated the same concern as you did on 7.8.19 of vibration when braking at highway speeds being caused by what you felt to be over-torqued lug bolts from Discount Tire. At this time we repaired the concern for you at no cost on behalf of Mercedes-Benz of Austin, and Mercedes-Benz USA, as a 1-time goodwill gesture 8) 10.7.19, you stated the vehicle was pulling to the right. Shop foreman drove with you, couldn't confirm but in an effort to help put your mind at ease, we checked over the steering & suspension, confirming no issues, re-checked align., still set to factory specs. Shop foreman drove with you at the time of pickup and couldn’t verify any pulling problem. Pick up on 10.15.19. 9) 11.26.19, we performed a state inspection for you at no charge as a goodwill gesture. You had no concern about any pulling issues at that time. And this was the last time you have been to our store, nearly 9 months prior to this review. I can't comment on the tire wear you speak of, I don't know of the manner the car is driven, what outside influences may have occurred since our final test drive with you when the car was functioning as designed. And as far as us not being able to perform the state inspection of your car due to the alignment issues, that is simply not true. We even took you for a drive in the car with us and there weren't any alignment issues as it reads on the service invoice dated 10.7.19. It is truly disheartening to us that you feel this way, especially after the lengths we have gone to in an effort to help you. We haven’t charged you anything for all of the time we dedicated to your concerns, we even performed the brake repairs, no charge to you that addressed the vibration while braking at highway speeds that you had stated was caused by Discount Tire to help keep you safe. I feel we truly did everything we could to assist you, but unfortunately, we cannot satisfy you despite our efforts. We wish you the best and hope you find another service facility that works better for you with any future service you may have.
