1/8/2012 The first and second time I went to the dealer 1/8/2012 The first and second time I went to the dealer service department was extremely disappointing and frustrating. The first time I went to t 1/8/2012 The first and second time I went to the dealer service department was extremely disappointing and frustrating. The first time I went to the dealer was for, what I thought, a simple issue of the shifter, it would be hard to move it from P to D. When presented this information to the technician he had no idea what could be the problem.... Not even a list of differential diagnosis... He stated that the car needed to stay and they will call later. No loaner was offered, no way to take me back to work, they did not care about my situation at all. They call me NEXT day to tell me they have to order a part and the work was going to cost around $1100. Another 2 days pass and they finally got the part and installed only to call be back (4th day in the dealer) and tell me that they needed to order another part and was going to cost another $800. The frustrating part for me was the lack of comunication or explanation of what was going on. It seem that they were doing a trial and error approach rather than knowing what they were doing. At one point when I was trying to get information from the technician ( Rick) he was so rude, he told me " do you want this or not? You can take it to your neighbor mechanic. I was so frustrated but with my hands tied so w/o knowing what was going on I accepted. 2 more days pass and they call and said that the car did not recognized the part? Like an organ donor? And that the second step was probably not necessary but they already did it and was charged. What a HORRIBLE experience, I felt humiliated and disrespected by their condescending attitude. The second experience was a quick one since I did not trusted this guys at all. When there to get a diagnosis for ABC lights on after 1.5 hours they told me is going to be $7050 for the work, again w/o explaining why or for what. After I started inquiring about the problem the technician ( Jim) started to be condescending and rude so I just smile and left. After several days looking for another car because the technician told me I could not drive my car, one of my clients gave me a card from his Mercedes technician ( he told me stay away from cherry hill Mercedes). I made an appointment with this guy and immediately he found the problem and explained clearly. It was just a leak in the ABC pump hose. He told me that the entire active body control system did not needed to be replace all it needed was to put some more oil and replace the leaking hose. He immediately put some more oil to prevent any damage to the ABC and ordered the part. This only cost me $360. What it frustrates me tremendously is that Cherry Hill dealer did not recognized the leak or what is even worse if they recogniced the leak they did not tell me nor they offer at least to put some oil to prevent any damage to the system. So frustrating, so rude and maiintentionate. I had to share this with everybody and also warn you about their lack of knowledge, condescending attitude and hands down thief. Good luck! More
Lately, their service have been terrible. we have been going there for over 10 years. lately they are charging exorbitant amount every time we take the car for service. They quote one price over the pho going there for over 10 years. lately they are charging exorbitant amount every time we take the car for service. They quote one price over the phone and when we go to pay, we are surprised with a bill that is almost double. Every time they will say that they found this serious problem and that serious problem that needed to be fixed for safety reasons. Basically they are doing unnecessary repairs and overcharging every step of the way. I am done going there. Advice for other customers: 1. Avoid MB-Cherry Hill as much as possible. They will take a minimum of $1500 every time you go there. They will find a way. 2. Before you take your mercedes to this dealer, go to another mechanic, pay a fee and get the problem checked and diagnosed. 3. Make an appointment and STAY in the waiting room while your car is being repaired. Do not leave your car there; this dealership will rip you off. More
Horrible experience for the second time. First time a few months back I was told an hour and half service, 3 hours later I hear your car is coming out, your car is next, etc. This time I make an appointme months back I was told an hour and half service, 3 hours later I hear your car is coming out, your car is next, etc. This time I make an appointment for a 9:30 service and I was going to wait because I was told a 2 hr job over the phone. I get there, ok 2 hr job but they probably won't get to get for 2 hrs, this is Dan telling me this. I said ok no problem I'll need a ride, after waiting an hour for that to happen I get a ride and expect to be picked up again to get the car in 2 hrs or so.... No, I call at 12 and no Dan so I leave a message with another service rep and I was told Dan would call back. That didn't happen. I call again at 1:30 and tell them I need to car by 3 as I leave to go home, well car won't be done by that time. 2 hr service huh? Like a nice person I say ok no problem keep the car come get me in the a.m. I get a call at 7:30 a.m. After I told them to come between 9-10. So now I sit here writing this at 11 and waiting a pick up still.... This is horrible service and never thought a MB dealer could do this. I guess I'll have to stick with euro Motorcars Devon, I'd rather drive 3 hours to sit there for the service then wait for these people again. Its truly a shame because dealing with land rover and Audi, which are also apart of cherry hill imports and never had a problem with those. Please stay far away from this place! More
