I brought my SL400 to MB of Encino yesterday. As I pulled up in the driveway, another customer was screaming at the MB employees about their horrible service & was calling them thieves. I have been servicing my Mercedes vehicles at Mercedes dealerships for over 20 years now. I moved to L.A. last year & started bringing my car to MB of Encino. I know that it is more expensive to service my car at the dealership, but I’ve been willing to pay the higher cost because of the higher end experience. The higher end experience no longer exists at MB Encino. I reserved a Loaner Car & when I arrived for my service, there was NO loaner car for me. They said I can wait. I had some time, so I said I would have some coffee. NO COFFEE! When my service was completed, they brought my my washed car. I looked at the wheels & couldn’t believe they didn’t wipe the dirt off all my wheels. They sent my car back & brought it back 15 minutes later. The guy asked me if it’s ok now. I looked at the dirt still on my dirty wheels & asked him what he thought about bringing me a clean car with dirty wheels? He shook his head like a guy that knows that MB Encino does not take pride in their workmanship. I just left, because I’m ready to find a new mechanic! One other comment. I spoke to the GM about my experience while I was waiting for my service to be completed.. He smiled & listened to me, but didn’t really seem to care. He made up some story about not having coffee due to 25 lawsuits against his dealership, because clients claim to have gotten Covid from drinking their coffee. More

THERE AT 1:14 PM AND OUT AT 4:02 FOR MINOR ALARM/BATTERY SERVICE. VALET REFUSED TO BRING MY CAR TO DRIVE THRU AND BROUGHT ME THE KEYS TO WALK ACROSS THE LOT TO GET MY OWN CAR. WHEN I READ MY PAPERWORK IT SERVICE. VALET REFUSED TO BRING MY CAR TO DRIVE THRU AND BROUGHT ME THE KEYS TO WALK ACROSS THE LOT TO GET MY OWN CAR. WHEN I READ MY PAPERWORK IT HAD INCORRECT INFORMATION COMBINING MY RESIDENCE WITH MY BUSINESS ADDRESS INFORMATION. QUOTED AMOUNT FOR TEST AND BILLED AMOUNT $200 DIFFERENT; HOWEVER, I WAS THE SECOND TO LAST CUSTOMER TO LEAVE AND JUST WANTED TO GET OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP (WITH NO VALET SERVICE FOR ME) , SO I JUST PAID AND WENT OVER THE INVOICE WHEN I GOT HOME. THIS WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN A DEALERSHIP I EVER EXPERIENCED AND FRANKLY I WAS VERY INSULTED. More

Stay away from their service department. They have serious theft of personal items going on there. After I dropped my car off and came to pick it up , it was ransacked and items were stolen. The reason I noticed is because when i was dropping it off i purposely covered the items, hiding them in passenger seat and putting things on top. So when I got my car back the first thing I did was check for the items hidden. everything was turned over and the things were missing. I reported to the manager on duty and he thought that I was crazy. It was Thursday. He told me they will check all of the cameras and the service manager will get back to me on Monday when he returns back to work. By Wednesday nobody called so we called them and the manager was very rude and unprofessional and said that they cant do anything about it. didnt even offer an apology. My personal property was invaded and items stolen and nothing was done about it. Customers beware. Horrible Horrible dealership! More

So they will incentivize or sometimes push you to do the work even when it's not needed. I did hear from the Manager Hans via private message and I replied. I never received a follow up from him. Hans followed up via YELP after I left yet another negative review. All this over the span of almost two-weeks later. Congress moves faster. Hans states he was trying to reach me but left no voicemail and direct number. He further stated that I was welcome to come by. And hopefully, it works out? Please. He's full of hot air. This dealership is dishonest. LIke the sign at the beach says "Proceed at Own Risk." MY REVIEW: I've never encountered such a dysfunctional dealership. I've interacted with many. I called 5 times before I could reach parts. The receptionist could not help and could not have cared less. Evidently, they have caller ID and she just forwarded to parts on my 3rd attempt. Nice huh? When I finally did connect, I was met by a rude Renaldo in parts. When I explained the number of times I had to call, I was met with 'I'm by myself.' No apology and apparently this gentleman thinks it's appropriate to argue and cut me off while I'm speaking. First ballot hall of fame jerk. Not only would they not honor the sale price on the website and allow pickup but he thought it was entirely reasonable to say it's in stock at $87.50 up from $50.43 online. Sure! I'd love to be ripped off by you and spoken rudely to all at that the same time. BTW, There is a long line of dealerships offering parts at discounted prices under a different name. So you save but when it comes to service, it's poor. As for this dealership and it's incompetent staff, Mercedes of Encino clearly does not value or want my business. They have no conception of CLV. What a disgrace of a dealership. More
