I rarely write reviews, but this experience needs to be shared. I sold my vehicle to Mercedes-Benz of Maui, and what should have been a straightforward transaction turned into a 42 day nightmare and count shared. After completing all the paperwork and handing over my car, I expected timely follow through on their end, especially when it came to paying off my loan. That didn’t happen. Despite leaving dozens of voicemails because nobody answers the phones, I received absolutely no response from the Maui team. Not one callback. I eventually had to reach out to a representative on Oahu, who was the only person willing to even acknowledge the situation. He assured me multiple times that someone from Maui would contact me and even escalated the issue to his manager to make sure it was handled. Still, nothing. Their own internal attempts to get Maui to respond were ignored. Meanwhile, because of their delay in submitting payment to my loan holder, I was forced to make an additional auto payment on a car I no longer even possessed while it was sitting on their lot for resale. That alone is unacceptable. To make matters worse, by the time I contacted my loan holder directly, the payoff amount had dropped by nearly $1,000 compared to what we had originally agreed to in the signed paperwork. So not only was there a complete lack of communication, but also a clear financial discrepancy caused by their inaction. As of today, I am STILL awaiting my payment. For comparison, my husband sold his vehicle to BMW of Maui just a few days after my transaction, and he received his full payout over a month ago without any of these issues. The difference in professionalism and efficiency is glaring. This wasn’t just an inconvenience, it was a breakdown in basic business responsibility. When you take possession of someone’s vehicle, you also take on the obligation to follow through promptly and communicate clearly. Mercedes-Benz of Maui failed on both fronts. I strongly recommend thinking twice before doing business here, especially if you expect professionalism, accountability, or even the courtesy of a returned phone call. More

Contacted my salesrep Chris and finance manager George to see what is my best option to return or buyout remaining balance…both did not respond to calls left several voice messages. With no response decide to continue the lease contract ends February 8th 2026. Because my wife wanted to keep the car for her personal use…I scheduled a buyout meeting Jan 21st 2026 (2pm) with Lance. The process took over an hour because documents were not ready prior to coming in. The buyout price residual value was higher than the original contract. I asked Lance for detailed summary for the amount but he could not provide. All I was told I had lots of late payments???. I paid timely every month and 36 payment of 36 was due Jan 08 2026 but I was told DO NOT PAY and to settle during the buyout meeting Jan 21st. I was so frustrated…accepted the amount of $31,349 wrote a check and left…it is what it is…I don’t have the time or patience to contact finance department research an issue that should have been settled during the buyout meeting. I will just accept this as a bad experience and move on. Will I buy or recommend Maui Mercedes…absolutely NOT! More
