Because of its safety features, my wife and I decided to purchase a Mercedes Benz GLE350. We began our search in Charleston just before Christmas. There was nothing that we liked available on the lots at the two dealerships we visited. We also tried building one on the internet but again we were disappointed at the apparent lack of availability. Not only from the Charleston dealerships, but all across the Country. Over the internet we set up an appointment to meet with Michael Maely, a salesman at Myrtle Beach Mercedes Benz. Although there wasn’t anything on the lot that we wanted, Michael bent over backwards to find us something they could trade another dealership for. It took a lot of searching, over several weeks, but he stuck with it. Every other dealership told us that what we wanted wasn’t available anywhere. Michael found our GLE350 in Georgia. Other than lacking three options, the SUV us was perfect. And Myrtle Beach Mercedes threw in two of those at no additional charge. I have learned that dealerships do not have to trade vehicles with other dealerships. And if they do, the car that they are getting has to be at least as desirable (if not more) then the one they are giving up. With that said, I want to not only thank Michael for his extraordinary efforts but also Myrtle Beach Mercedes Benz for trading away one of their beauties in order to get mine.
