Nice cars and nice salespeople, but beware when you do the purchase and financing paperwork with the finance department. High pressure tactics to purchase extended warranty and maintenance contracts, and the purchase and financing paperwork with the finance department. High pressure tactics to purchase extended warranty and maintenance contracts, and if you do purchase additional items, check all the contract paperwork before you leave VERY carefully. The day after I bought the car, I discovered I was lied to about the terms and conditions of an extended warranty I purchased so I cancelled it next day and have been waiting two months for the return of the $2K price I paid, to either me or the finance company. There was also a sneaky 1/4 point increase in the quoted interest rate given to me by the sales manager when the finance manager did the paperwork. He didn’t think I noticed but I did and let it slide because the dollar amount wasn’t significant. I also do not have the completed registration after two months and even though the dealer keeps telling me they submitted the paperwork, our county clerk tells me they have not yet received it. Nice cars, good service department, but less than honest when doing the financial part of the deal. I’ve purchased three cars here since 2019 and I used to think there is integrity here that’s hard to find in an auto dealership, but I have since learned, and have the paperwork to prove it, that is not the case. I originally left a 1-star review, but after the general manager personally reached out and handled the situation professionally, I’ve updated it to 3 stars. He explained that we had been misinformed and manager personally reached out and handled the situation professionally, I’ve updated it to 3 stars. He explained that we had been misinformed and confirmed the vehicle would not need repainting if the wrap were removed. He acknowledged that it should not have been represented that way and said he would address the issue with his team. The dealership ultimately decided to keep the wrap on the car since some customers prefer that look, which is understandable and appreciated. His direct communication and willingness to clarify the facts deserve credit. That said, the original experience should never have occurred. The salesperson began by praising the wrap, calling it an advantage that had protected the paint perfectly. When I asked why the vehicle was not Certified Pre-Owned, they said it could not be certified solely because it was wrapped. That explanation did not make sense because a wrap does not affect mechanical condition, factory warranty, or certification eligibility. When I asked them to remove the wrap so the car could be inspected and certified, the story changed completely. They then claimed the vehicle would need to be repainted once the wrap was removed. Those two statements cannot both be true. If the wrap truly protected the paint, repainting should not be necessary. Having owned several wrapped vehicles, I know firsthand that removing a quality wrap does not require repainting unless there is pre-existing damage or non-factory paint underneath. This contradiction made it clear that the issue was not the wrap itself but either a lack of understanding or an unwillingness to remove it. It felt like an attempt to mislead an informed customer. I chose not to move forward and will work with another Mercedes dealer in town where transparency and accuracy matter. More
