Poor Quality, Poor Service I purchased a 2006 CLK350 in Feb 2014. Dealer maintained since new. This car has the M272, V6 engine. At the time of purchase, I did not know these e I purchased a 2006 CLK350 in Feb 2014. Dealer maintained since new. This car has the M272, V6 engine. At the time of purchase, I did not know these engines are known for having bad balance shafts (2006 thru 2009, V6 - M272 & V8 - M273 engines are affected). Mine went bad after 6K miles (80K miles on the car). Mercedes of Portland should have checked this car before they sold it to me. Their web site says "...we make every effort to ensure each used Mercedes-Benz we offer is spotless and reliable". Apparently they don't do this & the repairs cost $6000 dollars. I tried to contact Mercedes of Portland to get this fixed but I'm only hearing crickets. This will be the last Benz I buy. More

Jodie Johnson took my early morning call and w After on-line discovery of a desired GLK 250 BlueTec at MBz Portland, I called from Montana to inquire. Jodie Johnson took my early morning call and went efficiently to work. The following day we reached agreement upon a four-year lease and essential paperwork was enroute to me. I traveled to Portland the following week and Jodie delivered me from the train to the dealership. With the help of Jodie & her associates, paperwork & familiarization with the vehicle were completed after little more than an hour at the dealership (and a pleasant, unhurried hour at that) and I was on my way to a luncheon meeting. Throughout the process, both in person and by phone & e-mail, Jodie impressed me with her courtesy, efficiency and thoroughness; her commitment to my satisfaction was evident. Dale did an excellent job explaining the features and how they work. He also had an inapt ability to tell when his 1 minute of attention span was up. I drove out to the dealership in my 2014 ML 350 BlueTec confident and feeling like I knew how to operate all the buttons! Good job Dale! In addition, I worked with Jodie for weeks looking for a very specific color and options. Turns out it was a unicorn, and we could not find one. I ended up getting the one I looked at in their dealership, and am confident it was meant to be. Jodie did a good job of providing service with out be pushy or opinionated. I really enjoyed working with her and feel like I can call her a "friend. Lastly, I worked with Mylee in the finance department. I initially choice the lease protection and added the cost into the contract. Changed my mind to just write a check for the amount the next day, and she gladly changed the paperwork and had me come and sign for the changes. On a scale of 1-5 for a rating... there needs to be a number 10. It was a great experience and I LOVE my new ML 350 Bluetec!! More
Rudest Experience to date Dale Acelar rudely informed me that my 22 year old daughter, before driving off the Portland Mercedes lot with her brand new Smart car purchase, shoul Dale Acelar rudely informed me that my 22 year old daughter, before driving off the Portland Mercedes lot with her brand new Smart car purchase, should have stood up to the Sales team and demanded that license plate brackets be screwed into her new car, or she should have "got a screw driver and done it herself." Clearly, customer service is not a priority at this dealership. That this dealership would send off a new client with no plate bracket, no holes to attach a bracket, no explanation of how to attach a bracket, and then expect her to drill? screw? holes into the back of her new car herself, is ludicrous. That this dealership would then rudely inform me that I have no grounds for concern, is icing. When an employee takes a defensive stance towards a customer, there's a problem. A simple "I'm sorry for your inconvenience" would have been so much easier. More

Even though both he and a service tech couldn't find the electric outlet in the back seat of my new Ml350 (chuckle), his salesmanship, attention to details and courtesy were above and beyond what I had encountered in the past at other dealerships. I traded in a 2007 Ml350 for a 2014 Ml350 and in 7 years when the warranty is up again, I hope Ben is still selling Mercedes Benz's so he can sell me the next one too! Steve Fisher More

I ordered and placed a $1,000 down payment on a 2014 Smart Cabriolet in Feb 2014. My salesman, Mark Tower, told me it would be delivered between late-April and mid-May, which was fine by me...who needs a convertible in Portland until May? In April, he told me it would be arriving in the port of LA on 16 May. I thanked him for his update and told him that I wanted to insure that, during dealer prep, a license plate holder was not screwed into the front plastic of the car as I intended to install a special mounting bracket myself. He assured me they 'never install front plate holders without customer request'. Memorial day came and went. No car. Impatient, I ask for an update. Mark responded with (and I should note, he -- like almost everyone under the age of 50 -- only writes texts from his phone.) 'since it is a 2015 it is not released yet. I'll let you know when they ship it north. If you are not satisfied you will get a full refund.' Angry at being treated this way, I complain to the General Manager. He immediately rectified the situation by giving me a free Smart Cabriolet loaner 'until my car arrives'. I drove that free (all I had to do was put gas in it) loaner for six weeks! When my car arrived the only thing wrong was a front plate holder had been installed with four screws. They are going to fix this mistake by swapping the front body panel from another car in their inventory while I get a free loner. All the people I worked with at Mercedes Benz of Portland, Smart Center of Portland, who were professional and wonderful and fantastic are: Andrew Plummer (GM), Dale Acelar, Crystal Barber, Ben Tait, and Mylee Burns.
