Charging for work you are not doing. For my last service, I took my Sprinter in for a second airbag recall, and because the DEF light came on. It was only 3,000 miles since the last serv For my last service, I took my Sprinter in for a second airbag recall, and because the DEF light came on. It was only 3,000 miles since the last service which included filling the DEF. I asked the shop to check for a system fault because it would be impossible for the vehicle to go through 3 gallons of DEF in 3,000 miles. No fault was found in the system and the service manger admitted that the only rational explanation was that the DEF actually did not get filled during the prior service, contrary to the invoice. Although this could have been a simple mistake, I am sure it is one of the "cardinal sins" with Consumer Affairs when a shop admits they charged for a service they did not perform. As a consumer I now have to ask, "What other service items are you charging me for but not actually doing?" I expect better from MB. More

Service/Repairs to C300 I brought my car in to get the left door and window fixed, that was not locking or operating on it own. The service department ordered a part to fix i I brought my car in to get the left door and window fixed, that was not locking or operating on it own. The service department ordered a part to fix it, and I brought it back a second time to get the part installed. The window rolled down, but the car only unlocked automatically for a few days. I brought the car back a third time, and found out now it needs another part to fix it. I already spent almost $300.00 for the first part, now I have to spend over $500.00 for the second part. When I asked the Service Manager why the techs didn't look at this part the first time, he didn't have an answer, but told me this is probably why the first part broke... So, now what I am understanding, is that after I already paid $300.00 for the first part, it is probably going to break if I don't get the second part of $500.00 installed. That makes no sense to me. When you had the car the first time, the door should have been inspected thoroughly. So yes, I am a bit annoyed with your service department. More
