Above and Beyond the Call of Duty My service advisor, Ephrain, helped me and the tow truck driver after hours figure out how to put my vehicle in neutral to be towed. He called a MBZ My service advisor, Ephrain, helped me and the tow truck driver after hours figure out how to put my vehicle in neutral to be towed. He called a MBZ technician while I stayed on the line with him. It was critical that we shifted the car in neutral without starting the engine. It was approximately 8 pm. He followed up the next day and resolved the problem. I never expected Ephrain to answer his cell at that late hour and guide me through the process. Kudos to Ephrain. More

Recall work They were efficient for recall work (installation of replacement air bags) and work was done expediently However, the service dept. recommended work They were efficient for recall work (installation of replacement air bags) and work was done expediently However, the service dept. recommended work (changing spark plugs) they assumed hadn’t been done in the past because it wasn’t in their computer (and because on visual inspection my car had genuine MBZ parts). They believed the plugs inspected were original to car purchase. I said “no thank you” as I was certain that at 100,000 miles the work HAD been done earlier. After checking my files at home, I was right; work was done at 62,000 miles.. My car doesn’t need a second set of plugs until at least 120,000 miles. It left me with little confidence in their assessment of what service my car DOES need! To assume that independent service locations don’t use genuine MBZ parts and that any parts that ARE on the car are original to the auto at purchase is bad practice. It leaves the customer with little confidence that the dealer’s service department is accurate in their assessments or trustworthy in their recommendations. More
