Pre-purchase inspection I used MB of Sacramento to perform a PPI on a vehicle I bought. While they were able to identify the vehicle needed lower control arm ball joints, the I used MB of Sacramento to perform a PPI on a vehicle I bought. While they were able to identify the vehicle needed lower control arm ball joints, they failed to spot a very bad oil leak from the valve cover gaskets. The leak was so bad to the point were oil made it's way into the cylenders. They also failed to note that the spark plug wires were very detetiorated to were the engine was misfiring. Not to mention very noisy idler pully and belt tensioner that needed replacement. Very disappointed that the dealerships inspection missed all of these issues which are easily identifiable by any competent shop that is worth its salt. More

For a Mercedes dealership Service was not what I expected what so ever. Lousy service and the rep doesn't seem to care. No service coordination and technical resolution The Sacramento Mercedes dealership is the only certified Smart Car dealership for hours around, and I wish this was not the case. I was in need of my The Sacramento Mercedes dealership is the only certified Smart Car dealership for hours around, and I wish this was not the case. I was in need of my first oil change, the standard 10K mile service, and was having numerous electrical and mechanical bugs that needed to be worked out. I called about 3 weeks in advance and scheduled my appointment on a weekend, since I had to come down from Reno to get the service done. I was very clear that I was going to need more than just an oil change, and asked if there would be any issues. I was told there would be no problems. I called a second time the week before the service to double check that they would have the appropriate technicians and parts available on the weekend for my car, and was told they would. When I showed up for my appointment, I was told that all they can do on weekends is oil changes, because the Smart Certified techs don't work on weekends. I was also told that I would need to leave my car for troubleshooting, and that I could not get a loaner car because they were all loaned out. Even with clear communication early in the game, I was hosed. The service manager who assisted me was professional, kind, and understanding, and did his best to attempt to make the best of the situation. I understand the communications issues were not his fault, however that did not make the situation easier to deal with. I ended up having to leave my car for over a week, and had to borrow a car from a friend to get around. If I had known this was going to be the situation, and could have planned for it, it would have been a smaller issue. Communications during that week were average, and the majority of my questions were addressed. Upon picking my car back up, I noticed on the way home that the service indicator was still telling me I was overdue for service. I have called the center 3 times to ask how to reset that myself, and still cannot seem to get a call back. More
