2 for 2 on selling junk cars.I purchased two, not one, 2 for 2 on selling junk cars. I purchased two, not one, but two pre-owned S-Classes from MB of Sarasota over the past 5 years. Both times, without 2 for 2 on selling junk cars. I purchased two, not one, but two pre-owned S-Classes from MB of Sarasota over the past 5 years. Both times, without fail, the car wouldn't start after only 2 months of ownership. The first time it happened the dealership worked with me and gave me a new battery, that of course died after a few days because the issue was the alternator - which they wouldn't fix. I just recently spend 50k on an S-Class that came with an "Autonation Certified Warranty", which is 90 days or 4k miles, and less than 90 days, and much less than 4k miles, the car has been at the dealership's shop twice. First the parking brake failed and second, the car now will not start. This is literally the worst dealership I've dealt with. Every single time I go in with any issue (we have 2 G-Classes as well as the S-Class) their solution to an issue is to "buy a new one" versus fixing the actual problem. I'm only one single person, but the fact that virtually the same issue has happened across multiple cars suggests that it's likely a commonly occurring problem with the dealership itself. I'll definitely be reaching out to local news and New Channel 8's "BETTER CALL BEHNKEN" about this, since the odds simply don't add up. Two cars purchased across 5+ years and they have virtually the exact same issues? Seems like they have a plan on how to sell used cars with issues. Also, the negative terminal cover has broken grommets, which suggests they had to jump the car to show it to me, meaning they knew the issue existed before I purchased. More
The dealership is worth the stop. I highly recommend the sales agent Alfredo Polletti. He is a Christian and honest and explains well. Staff are always pleasant. First annual service and things went smoothly. I’m never certain how to find the person I’m assigned to. Peter was top notch through the whole experience and listened to our needs and though a request sounded obscure to what we wanted he listened and made to sure to take care of it. Our purchase experience was also one of the best experiences we had with zero pressure for ‘add-ons’ and customized what we wanted. Would definitely use this dealer and Peter for our future vehicles and recommendations to friends and family. More
