I brought my 35,000-mile Mercedes-Benz van in for major transmission and HVAC issues. This isn’t the first time it’s been in the shop—we’ve already had repeated problems with a door that kept breaking. transmission and HVAC issues. I’m hopeful the transmission issue has finally been resolved, but the dealership refused to repair the HVAC problem because the warranty had expired by only a couple of weeks. They also told me the tires needed to be replaced, even though all four were replaced just six months ago. They wanted to charge me over $1,300 for what I believe should have been a warranty repair, and when I declined, they still charged me a diagnostic fee. I understand warranties have limits, but given the vehicle’s low mileage, the number of problems we’ve already experienced, and the fact that the warranty had only just expired, I expected better customer service and some goodwill. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience, and I can’t recommend a company that wasn’t willing to stand behind its product or work with a loyal customer. More
