Mercedes-Benz of Westminster responded

This customer arrived at our dealership after Service Department had closed and we tried to accommodate him. In sales we must confirm with the service department before we can release vehicles to clients. I did spend a fair amount of time trying to confirm a reported previous payment only to find out that the customer wanted to make the payment right then. This was a mistake on my part but I do not work in Service and was just trying to make sure the car was ready to be given to the customer after Service had closed for the night. The customer’s initial frustration at the situation was perfectly understandable and those concerns were valid. However, despite our attempt to accommodate the customer after Service had closed he became verbally abusive and very demeaning to our dealership and its employees. We are a 100% Customer Service driven organization. To be successful at servicing and selling luxury cars Customer Service must be paramount. We also have a responsibility to protect our employees as well as the customer’s vehicles that are in our possession. Greg Weiler New Car Sales Manager
