I want to give a very special thank you to Mason Spain, Internet Manager. I first called almost 2,000 miles away and got a very warm welcome. I went over the car I wanted (2020 GT350R Heritage) which is very special to my family and I. We went over the price and I made an offer which was fair...He agreed and presented it, he promised me that within 5 seconds of him knowing he'll call me...About 10-15 minutes I get a call (much sooner than I thought) and we met in the middle. No back and forth, just a fair deal for both parties...It get's better. I told him briefly that I was hoping the car wouldn't have the front bracket for the plate...after about 5 minutes or LESS he texts me a picture of the car in the showroom...without it...not only that about a dozen more photos (I love because I save and document all my cars)...THEN he asked if he could Facetime me with the tech who's going the pre delivery and prep...WAY more than I ever expected.... Not only is this an old fashion dealership with the inventory and service...but SERVICE is beyond belief. I truly look forward to seeing what else Mason has laying around or incoming in the future. Lastly, you need to like and TRUST the party, especially when 2,000 miles away... Mason, thank you truly A+++++++! More
Only good thing about the dealership was finance. I got a good deal on the car with low money down. Patrick Watson was the Finance officer and he was awesome. The salesman forgot my name after about two days good deal on the car with low money down. Patrick Watson was the Finance officer and he was awesome. I found a 2018 Ford F150 Lariat for sale for $38,885, with a drop down banner stating the vehicle had been reduced over $7,000, on the Metro Ford website on 18 Dec 2020. Sent an email to Mason Spain, th with a drop down banner stating the vehicle had been reduced over $7,000, on the Metro Ford website on 18 Dec 2020. Sent an email to Mason Spain, the Metro Ford Sales Manager. He responded, by both phone and email, that yes the truck was available that was listed on their internet site and added I needed to fill out a credit app, which I agreed to do and did. l received an email that someone from finance would contact me regarding qualifying me for the loan asking me how much I wanted to finance. In our conversation I explained I was already pre-approved through USAA and I would finance $40K with the rest in cash or check but he stated I had to finance through them because they were able to make back money on the vehicle due to it's low price. No one contacted me, so after several hours,I called him and put him on speaker phone, since my wife was interested as well. Mr. Spain verged on being rude during this conversation pointing out that he had little success selling vehicles to customers outside of Oklahoma and that there was no guarantee the truck would be there because I would want to test drive it and he couldn't hold the truck. I explained I had bought other cars and even an RV through the internet, and asked if that was the case why was it even listed on the internet. We also talked about a "certified" verses a "non-certified" used car and he stated this vehicle wasn't and that it was nothing more than a way for the dealership to make more money.( His exact words) I wanted to purchase a Ford Extended Service Contract so that was the reason for the "certified" question. He told me the vehicle wasn't certified but i could get the warranty regardless of if the car was certified or not. During this entire conversation, Mr. Spain's seemed agitated, for lack of a better word, as if he wasn't interested in the sale. My wife thought he must have been saving the truck for a friend, but I now think it was nothing more than a "bait and switch" tactic. I asked about the video of the truck or FaceTime interface, he had mentioned, so I could have a closer view at both the exterior and interior of the truck. He said they were very busy on Friday's and Saturday's, and no one was available. However, a very nice woman, name Lauren, called me about 30 minutes later and told me she would shoot a video of the truck and text it to me, which she did. I called her after receiving the video asking about the engine compartment and carpet, she then FaceTimed me and she started the engine, showed me the carpet, said no one had smoked in it and that it looked and even smelt like a new truck. I agreed the truck looked great and told her what very good price I thought the truck was, since I had been researching this very model and year. I agreed to by the truck and I explained I had flight to OKS from BNA researched and ready to buy once the contract was signed. She related a $1,000 downpayment was need and I agreed and I was to provide a credit card which I was ready to do. Up to this point, the truck's selling price was $38,885. Lauren text me the Sales Contract, which I still have, and it is for a 2020 Ford Lariat, with a different VIN number on it with a sales price of $41,835. Plus a $2,000 up charge for something called Metro Advantage and other fees. I called Laren about the mix up and she looked and verified it was wrong and asked me to hold so she could clear up the mistake. Now Lauren is not responsible for any of this as she told me she had only been working at the dealership for a few days. When she returned, she was very apologetic and stated someone had fat fingered the price in wrong and the price was actually the $41, 835. This is absolutely untrue, there was a banner on the car, which has since been changed, stated the car had been reduced over $7,000. Classic bait and switch, but since I was to fly in, that was a complication and they weren't expecting me to actually buy the car it seems. Basically, I would ;show up and the truck had sold scenario. I would caution anyone shopping with this dealership, especially internet sales. If you are new to the car buying experience, I would be surprised if you weren't taken advantage of. I am 66 years old, a 28 year retired officer with the USAF and this was the most blatant dishonesty I've experienced buying a vehicle from any dealership or person representing a dealership. More
This was the second oil change I've had by the dealership. As with the other service I've had done here, the staff has been friendly and the work completed as expected. dealership. As with the other service I've had done here, the staff has been friendly and the work completed as expected. More
