After a horrible customer service experience at Kendall Kia, I spoke with an internet rep at Miami Lakes Auto mall re: a Kia Optima Turbo. Dalina Prieto replied to my email as follows : - I understand Kia, I spoke with an internet rep at Miami Lakes Auto mall re: a Kia Optima Turbo. Dalina Prieto replied to my email as follows : - I understand you had a bad experience at the other dealer and I really do not want you to go through that again. Just to explain how fast they are being sold, Wednesday we had 9 of the turbo edition, but Now we have only 1. I don't want you to think I am giving you the run around but, I was speaking to Our Kia specialist (FRANK) and he let me know that we can definitely let you test drive the one available. I believe it is silver... When do you think you can come by and test drive? - I arranged for the next evening at 7pm where I was introduced to Frank as the Sales Manager. I arrived to speak with Frank (Martinez), reviewed numbers (which were still high) and asked to test drive the turbo Optima they said was still available in the email. He then had a salesman take me outside who tried to have me test drive a non-turbo model. I told him my email mentioned the TURBO model, and he informed me they had none in stock for the past 4 days (!!!!). I spoke with the Kia specialist (Frank) who had nothing to say, put his hands up in an 'I dont know what to tell you' fashion and basically told me the inventory numbers may have been off when Danila mentioned to me there was one in stock. Funny, she mentioned in the email above that she had spoken with him specifically about 1 being available.. and 'we can definitely let you test drive the (silver) one available' I am sure for car servicing, this location may be great - but as far as sales go, they over-promised and under-delivered just like Kendall Kia, only this time I wasted my gas in a trip to Miami Lakes for no car. Frank Martinez did not even bother to inform the internet rep who referred me to him, who contacted me via email a few days later to ask how things went. Coming from an industry where customer service and communication is key, this said ALOT about the location and their way of handling potential business. PS - The positive in all this was that out of frustration, I went the wrong direction home, and ended up at Potamkin Hyundai, who really turned me on to the new Sonata. Less than a week later, I was in a brand new 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited Turbo model. Service began from the time I stepped onto the dealership and Hyundai continues to contact me to ensure the satisfaction of their vehicle as well as service. More
