Concerns I really liked my service advisor, but that is not who I got this t8me. I got a young girl that is obviously new. This was my 65k mile checkup. It sho I really liked my service advisor, but that is not who I got this t8me. I got a young girl that is obviously new. This was my 65k mile checkup. It should have been just tire rotation, but she said I needed an oil change, transmission flush, brake lines flush, power steering flush, new brakes and new battery. First, my car doesn’t have power steering, it has electronic. Second, she said my battery wouldn’t be able to start in cold weather. It has just been in the low 20’s these last several days, no problem starting. I will go have my 12 volt battery independently tested. Third, the oil change schedule states this car gets oil changes every 10k miles, it was changed a few months ago at the 60k mile checkup. I allowed the transmission flush, my son-in-law said that sounded about right, but I will dig out my owner’s manual and look all the rest up. I do NOT think I should need a new battery already, she recommended a new 7 year battery, my car is only 2 years old! Yes, I have a lot of freeway miles on my car, I take cross country trips, have always been easy on brakes, so that surprised me as well since it costs over $400.00 to replace these. Hybred. More
