Where to begin??? Do not take your car to Midtown Kia ever!! This saga begins when I have a check engine light turn on in October. Took it to Ferguson. They cleared the code and put on a new gas cap. I ever!! This saga begins when I have a check engine light turn on in October. Took it to Ferguson. They cleared the code and put on a new gas cap. It was an evap leak. Light comes back on a week later. Call Ferguson again. They cannot get my car back in until November 15. Call Midtown Kia the following Monday. They say sure we can get it in right now. My car sat from Monday until Friday and they did Nothing! On Friday I pick up my car because I need it that weekend. They assure me its fine to drive. I told them I could bring it back Wednesday so they can get it right in that day. Fast forward until the next Friday. We couldn't fix it because we need to do a smoke test and there isn't enough gas. I need a half tank to do that. Fast forward to the following Monday. I take it back. They did nothing with it until the following Wednesday and tell me they have to order parts. Come back Monday and the parts will be there. MONDAY they take it and keep it until Thursday. It's all fixed they say. A few days later the light comes back on. They say we think the hoses or grommet on the canister is leaking. They will order parts to fix it and I should bring it back this Monday. So here it is Tuesday. My car was supposed to be in and out on Monday but their air compressor froze and they couldn't finish it but it's almost done. Today at 1 they call me and say we are just pulling your car into the bay. They aren't sure they can get it done today. They will call me at 3. At 340 I call them back. They say yes the car will be ready they only have to smoke test it and then they are done. 430 they inform me it wasn't throwing an error code when they pulled it in today and the smoke test didn't show any leak. So they didn't replace any parts that the should have done first! But they said they smoked it but it only had an 1/8 of a tank. So how do u smoke it without the half a tank of gas? So basically they cleared the code and did not do anything with my car for 2 days. I told them to F off and left. All this for the bargain price of 620 dollars.. The entire 3 months I have been dealing with the they have constantly lied about what is happening with my car. They honestly do not remember who I am every time I walk in the door. Absolutely worthless. I have again dropped my car back off last Wednesday so Bobby and the shop foreman can find out why the light keeps coming on. It is Monday now of the following week. They now need to replace a hose and seal on the fuel pump. At least at this point I have daily text updates from Daniel and I refuse to pick it up until its fixed. Prove me wrong Midtown and make it right. More
My 2014 Kia Optima was towed in July 26, 2021, after at least 50 or 60 phone calls and numerous drop bys at the dealership and never ONCE getting to talk with service manager, because they protected his so least 50 or 60 phone calls and numerous drop bys at the dealership and never ONCE getting to talk with service manager, because they protected his sorry xxx, my wife being lied to, the SA lying to me about what's wrong with car, when's its going to being ready, where the parts, who's working on it. Five long months later we finally got our car back, the day of, the dealership calls my wife and informs her that she needs to go buy a new battery !! That car sat on your car lot for 5 xxxxing months and YOU let the battery go dead not us, why are we responsible for buying a $250 battery?? Needless to say we will never purchase another vehicle or use your service at Midtown Kia EVER! More
