I researched the Explorer on Carfax and have been happy since my purchase. I had some problems with the SUV 6 months after the purchase which were covered under the warranty I bought from Midway. I’ve owned the car for less than a month. I have gone back to the service center 4 times to have the same tire pressure issue fixed and every time that they’ve claimed to fix it they have not I have gone back to the service center 4 times to have the same tire pressure issue fixed and every time that they’ve claimed to fix it they have not (on top of all of the other little things I’ve noticed that has been wrong with the vehicle that they conveniently covered up before it was purchased) definitely will not be recommending this place to anyone. Midway Automotive in Abington is truly an up to date used car buying experience. Instead of using computer algorithms like the online middle men car boutiques, Midway has an actual car which you can touch an car buying experience. Instead of using computer algorithms like the online middle men car boutiques, Midway has an actual car which you can touch and drive, and, if you like it, you can take it home! They have the option to browse online and choose something before you arrive, and it has all the bells and whistles you'll find on the so called Internet Dealerships. I ordered a car from one of the big players online, did all the hoop jumping, financial number crunching, document uploads, everything. Just 1 problem, they couldn't meet their delivery promise! Sorry sir, but we'll get it to you next month. (With added delivery fees that can jump over a thousand dollars!) I walked into Midway, Sales Agent Tom Thurberg took me under his wing and I had myself a car, the one I wanted, by the next business day. I told him what I wanted, how much I could afford, and with help of Mike, The Finance Wizard, I even spent less than I expected! Go to Midway! It's the Best way! (IMHO)👍 And ask for Tom! More
This has been the worst car buying experience ever dealing with the service department. Rob in the service department should not be the forefront of your organization, he lacks customer service skill dealing with the service department. Rob in the service department should not be the forefront of your organization, he lacks customer service skills, is very unprofessional, with a very nasty demeanor and a nasty attitude. Dealing with a parent that currently has cancer and dealing with this car situation has been stressful. He told me that they will no longer put any money into the car and I will have to pay, not to mention I only had the car for 3 weeks and nothing but problems with the steering. They replaced the tires after 2 different places told me the tires were no good.Now my car has issues with the steering after they installed new tires and the car pulls badly to the right and feels very unsafe on the road. I go back and Rob was argumentative and hostile. I feel like this dealership could care less about their customers after the sale. I regret buying a car from this dealer that needs maintenance already and has safety and drivability issues. The sales team was awesome but service here at this establishment is horrendous. I'm now in an unsafe car that rides worst then it did after I brought it in for just tires. More
