I made an appointment for 9:30 am to get a noise in my truck looked at. They take my truck and said it would be an hour or two for my truck to be done. I took a seat and waited. All of the sales people were very nice walking through as I waited for my trying to be done. Around 12:30, the one salesman I was chatting with walked past and said "you're still here? what's wrong with your truck?" I proceeded to tell him that they just came out and said there was nothing wrong with it. He agreed that the length of time was terrible. I talked to the service guy and he tried telling me that there was nothing wrong and my tires were making the noise. He also said I needed an oil change. I told him that I changed it about 400 miles ago. He said he would talk to the technician again and see what he said. I waited even longer. About 1:30 pm, he comes back out and the cashier will take care of me and get me on my way. She said "that will be $79.96". I began to question it since my truck is still under warranty. The service guy said "well there's a "checkout fee" which you were told about when you first came in". Well first off, I was never told about any "checkout fee" when I got there, second it's 4 hours later and there was nothing wrong with my vehicle, this doesn't seem right. He said they still needed to pay their technician. I then tell him they shouldn't have a technician if he takes 4 hours to look at one thing and I even told him what I thought the problem was. He said well it took him an hour. Okay, so what happened to the other 3 hours? He said well there was other cars he had to work on too. Okay, and then why would I call ahead of time and schedule an appointment for a specific time if it's not going to be of any use? I tried speaking with someone higher up, but no one was in. He did take the charge off and was rather rude after the fact. If something would have been wrong with my vehicle and they fixed it, I wouldn't mind paying. But waiting for 4 hours with nothing wrong, I don't see it right to pay $80 for a car wash. And the car wash seemed to consist of the younger kids they had working there hosing it off and driving it around front. My mother's boyfriend is a mechanic and has owned his own business for 25+ years. There is no reason that this should have taken that long with an appointment! Needless to say, I am not pleased at all with the service department at Mike Anderson of Merrillville. They salesmen were all very polite and kind even though I wasn't dealing with them. More
This was the best dealership we've ever visited. We were not pressured at all which always turns me away when we try to look at a vehicle to purchase. Jesse Nevarez, the salesman rocked. He took us on a test drive & when we got back to the dealership we sat and talked like we've been old friends since we were kids. It was an awesome day! I would definitely recommend Jesse and this dealership to anyone I know looking for a car. Also Neeley Stephan was amazing. She explained everything so we weren't left wondering if we missed something. She helped get us a good deal on a car along with Jesse. Over a month later and we are still very pleased with the purchase. We will definitely be going back if we ever need another car =) Thanks Ron & Angela Montez!! More

I went in to look for a used car at Carmax and just thought I would look at a new one to compare, I had been with new cars from Saturn for years. I could never go back to Saturn and I did not think Sa thought I would look at a new one to compare, I had been with new cars from Saturn for years. I could never go back to Saturn and I did not think Saturn could not be matched but I was so wrong. After just looking, I decided to buy a new car and Jonathan Devine was absolutely great! He was the best sales person I have ever had! Tim Jurgovan in finance was also great! They beat Saturn, and had tears in my eyes when Saturn closed so that is a true accomplishment. Now I don’t miss them so much. Everyone at Mike Anderson Chevrolet of Merrillville is the best! More
What started out as a hectic frustrating day, turned into a stress-free relaxing day. Even though the normal salesman that I deal with was not there, I was still able to be taken care of and purchased an ex a stress-free relaxing day. The main players were very accommodating and that helped a great deal. I would definitely recommend this dealership for anyone who's looking to purchase. Jeff Goss, the salesman who worked with me, was very knowledgeable and nice, and spent a good deal of time with me, showing me vehicles I was interested in and going on test drives of various cars with knowledgeable and nice, and spent a good deal of time with me, showing me vehicles I was interested in and going on test drives of various cars with me. The dealership is very clean, and all of the employees were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Jeff Goss and Mike Anderson Chevrolet to anyone I know who would be interested in buying a car. Jeff and the dealership made a normally unpleasant experience (i.e. purchasing a new car) a pleasant one. Also, the finance manager was very thorough and did a good job of helping me as well. Great overall experience, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Great selection of cars. I bought a used car, the only thing I didn't like was the warranty; it was for only for 1 month 1000miles, dealers helpful. Great selection of cars. I bought a used car, the only thing I didn't like was the warranty; it was for only for 1 month 1000miles, dealers should take a little more responsibility for what they sell, at least 3 months 3000miles, My guess is that is why they tried to push the extended warranty packages. It also took a very long time(2hrs)until I sat down with the finance team, Very nice to work with though. Total experience took 4 hours, seemed a little long just to buy a used car. I am very happy with the car I purchased, clean / spotless and runs great. More
