I purchased the Jeep Cherokee. During the initial test drive, there was a grinding sound with a loud clunk when I put the car in drive. I was told by Alex that the grinding noise During the initial test drive, there was a grinding sound with a loud clunk when I put the car in drive. I was told by Alex that the grinding noise was the rotors and and the clunk sound is from the vehicle sitting and not being driven. Alex reassured me that your service team replaced them and looked the vehicle over and there were no other issues. I completed another test drive , no sounds so I purchased the vehicle. Please note that during this test drive, I never put the vehicle in reverse as it was parked in a space for me to pull straight out. During purchase, Carl advise me that if I had any problems with vehicle to bring it back to them for service and if you couldn’t fix it you would send it off to Jeep on my behalf. I purchased the vehicle Friday evening and over the weekend the back up camera didn’t work and there was a squeaky sound when I pressed the brakes. I also heard the clunking noise when putting the car into drive and making turns. After the weekend, I reached out to the service team at Mike Juneau and spoke with Kevin. He advised me that he didn’t know anything about jeeps and to take it to a Jeep dealer for service. I advised him that Carl stated that if I had any problems to bring it to them and then if they couldn’t resolve my issues they would send it off to Jeep for me. He said it would save time to take it to Jeep myself since he knew nothing about Jeep’s. Kevin also told me that only the rotors were replaced but not the break pad and the calipers could be bad. I’m not a service technician, but it seems odd to me that the rotors are replaced but not the padds??? The pads are before the rotors and if the rotors were bad it had to impact the pads. Also, was any of these parts checked when they serviced it for the grinding and clunking sound? It also concerned me that your service team replaced the rotors, but instead of asking me to bring it in to have it looked at, I was just advised right away to take it to Jeep. Also during this conversation with Kevin, he also stated that the back up camera would have to not be working when I brought it in for them to determine what’s wrong with it. I never mentioned that it sometimes works. Did they know that there was a problem before the vehicle was sold? I feel like a dropped a whole lot of money with a business that only told me things to get the sale. This was not the first car that I purchased with Mike Juneau, but I feel it may be the last. At the time of my purchase, I was in a rental due to an auto accident at no fault of mine. I was still in a position that I was fearful of purchasing a vehicle and wasn’t ready to purchase a brand new vehicle. Alex stressed to me that their goal was to get me out of the rental. Since the purchase of this vehicle, I have had multiple issues with the break pedal sound, the back up camera not working, the clunking noise when I put the car in drive and making turns and instances when the chime to notify me that my seatbelt is not enabled doesn’t work. These are all safety issues that puts myself and my passengers at great risk. I’m very frustrated with not receiving any resolution and being in a position that I’m not sure if my vehicle is safe. As for the purchase itself, I felt like it was very rushed and things were not explained to me. Also during the test drive, Alex stated that he knew nothing about the Jeep. I understand that this is not a Buick or GMC, but I would hope that there would be some common knowledge by the sales rep regarding features of a vehicle that they’re selling. Then the day of the purchase, Alex messages me to tell me that I need a cashiers check and that I can’t use my bank card. I had contacted my bank for prior authorization to approve that large transaction with my bank card for the payment. This was never mentioned the first day. I told him that I would be making a large payment. Very sad and frustrating. More
