Instead of doing what most car salesmen have done in my previous experiences (talk, talk, talk the entire time), he let my fiance & I look at the car & really take some time to discover together if it was the right car for us. He was able to give us more money for my trade than I asked for. Lastly, he stayed until the end of the transaction (much later than I expected him to stay being that he had been there since that morning) to walk us out & thank us for our business. When my credit union reviewed the purchase agreement, Longmont Ford had put back the charges (around $600) for these services. I am glad that I had the credit union review my papers as I was of the understanding that they were removed. They also neglected to give me the inflator for the car tires (instead of a spare tire) and I had to go back to Longmont Ford and request it (a 3 hour trip). Last Friday, I spent 3 hours at the motor vehicle department trying to get the plates (after exhausting two temp tags) only to find from the clerk that Longmont Ford had not collected the proper amount of sales tax and they would have to wait (at which time the clerk allowed me to purchase a third temp tag for my car - Maybe it will be ready on 20Feb2015 when the tag expires). Today (1/28/2015) when I spoke with Lapleta at the dealership, she told me that she was not perfect, even though she tried to do her best. That is fine, but I didn't call to hear excuses, I wanted to have resolution. This dealership has lousy customer service and my buy experience has not been pleasant. More
