My name is Michael Ostrow and I am the Business Development Manager here at Millennium Toyota. First i want to apologize for your current situation. It is my understanding that you were last here in the late Spring for an oil change. Since then you have now driven it to Albany where you noticed the oil leak. Subsequently you spoke with Ms. Caraballo about your issue. It is my understanding you were told that once the other dealership diagnoses the issue, to contact us and we would take care of it. Since then, Theresa got in touch with your service in Albany, Clayton, and was waiting for the diagnosis for your vehicle. Again, we had told you that we would take care of this issue for you. As far as our mechanics and here, they are well trained and certified. When we finally find out what the issue is, again we will take care of it. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience. My name is Sunjet Joshi and I am one of the Service Managers here at Millennium Toyota. I do apologize for the situation you are in now. I would be upset too if I had damage on any part of my vehicle, and the work was refuse through warranty. The fact is that Toyota, not us denied the claim. It does us no good to falsify the fact that Toyota denied the claim. If Toyota denies a claim, we cannot go against them. If Toyota had approved the claim, we would do the work, without problem as Toyota would have paid us for the work. As it was, we offered to do the work, at our cost with no profit to the department or dealer. We were trying to make you a happy customer, even though according to our records, your vehicle has never been to our service department. I do believe your claim that your car is garage parked. However, to imply that there is no way anything corrosive could have gotten on the roof is wrong. If that was the case, the implication should be that you have never driven the vehicle. If you are out there with the vehicle, anything can get on it. After Toyota denied the claim, and we told you we would do the work anyway at cost, you went and announced publicly that unless we do the work, you would go out and attempt to tarnish our name. To me, that sounds a lot like extortion. Sometimes, things just happen. It's a machine, and no machine is perfect. Again, you do have my apologies for the situation, and the fact that you might have had to pay cost to have the issue repaired, but because the warranty work was denied, there is nothing we can do about it. Also, making false allegations that we made no effort to help you doesn't really help either party.
