Great experience purchasing my new VW '11 GTI at Minuteman. Bob Vigna was an extremely knowledgeable and professional sales consultant. I basically already knew the model I was interested in, but still he took the time to explain all the features, take me on a test drive, and explain all the options. At no time did I ever feel any pressure to buy. I had done extensive research at various dealerships, and Minutmen was able to be very competitive on pricing as well as give me a fair price on my trade in. Harley Easton in their business/financing office secured me an unbelieveable interest rate and explained everything regarding the financing options thoroughly. Being my first new car purchase he took the time to explain all the paperwork as well as optional coverages in a very honest manner without trying to push anything I wasn't interested in. It's great getting such an amazing vehicle and feeling good about the deal you made. I just caution anyone considering leasing a GTI...you won't want to have a mileage limitation, this car is so much fun to drive. More
Unless you are a glutton for punishment, steer far far away from this dealership....there are other VW options in the area. My experience was a disaster on many levels. Communication between staff members and to the customer is truly sub-par. Expectations are set with a smile, but unfortuantely, you are just being set up for disappointment. The delivery of my new car was delayed (I was informed the day of and then had to re-configure my schedule), it was delivered with a scuff on the back (that I had to point out since there was no staff inspection to ensure it was in perfect condition upon delivery), but my FAVORITE part of the deal was the fact that I was told that my refundable $500 deposit would be put back into my checking account "upon pick-up of the vehicle." Simple concept. Well, it was not until I called 3 days later to let them know that I was still out $500 that something was done. However, instead of a refund, an ADDITIONAL $500 was deducted from my account, overdrafting my account (and it was the holiday shopping season). The process of rectifying this matter literally gave me a day-long headache and was a back-and-forth between my bank and the dealership...something that should have been taken care of immediately. All I got was a "sorry." I'm sorry, too, for having to affiliate myself with this dealership. Anything with the name Minuteman Volkswagen has been removed from my car. The staff are nice people, don't get me wrong...but miscommunication, negligance, and failed expectations are bad for business!!!! Sorry. More
I highly recommend this dealership. Tim was great to deal with, very honest and it seemed that he wanted to earn my business. He made my buying experience different. Our family's experience at Minuteman could not have gone smoother, or been better handled. In fact, the ease of dealing with them caught me so off-guard from the start that I had to step back for a moment j smoother, or been better handled. My wife and I purchased a 2001 VW Passat from the now defunct South Shore Volkswagen 10 years ago, and the experience was not seamless. They improperly registered the title, so that there was frequent confusion every time my wife took the car to be serviced. When we were doing the paperwork at Minuteman, sales manager Harley knew exactly what had happened in that situation, explained that the problem was not so unusual, and showed us what he was doing with our paperwork to ensure that that annoying issue did not recur with our new purchase, a 2012 Volkswagen Eos. Our salesman Robert Vigna was responsive to our needs, always answered voice mails within a reasonable amount of time when he wasn't able to pick up the phone himself, and even stayed late one evening on a day when he wasn't scheduled to work to accommodate our family's schedule. Both he and Harley were very candid in our interactions, sharing information and answering questions without spinning it to Volkswagen's advantage or avoiding the subject if the topic was challenging. Or trade in and price on the new car were both aggressively figured, and I would not hesitate to buy another car form Minuteman or send a friend/family member/colleague there if the opportunity arose. Worst dealership experience I ever had in last 20 years! No sales person came to me for 2 hours for an appointment that was made in the previous day!! I am a VW lover being currently owning a VW car. I setup an appointment with dealership at 1PM on Saturday, 11/5/11 thru Yan by talking to him on Friday. This appointment was specific for buying new 2012 VOLKSWAGEN PASSAT SE W/SUNROOF TDI (VIN #: 1VWBN7A38CC009282) as advertised on their web site. After reaching the dealership at 1PM, I contacted Yan. I was asked to sit in the waiting room. After half-hour, Yan informed that he was still finding sales person for me, but he would arrange for a test drive. At about 2 PM, I was given a car for test drive. Still no specific person was attached to talk to me on my requirement and/or trade-in. After 10 minutes, I gave back the keys and again my waiting continued. After more than 2 hours, at about 3:15PM, I went to the manager and complained. The manager informed me that he was helpless because he took too many appointments but he had only few sales people. Within few minutes he sent a non-sales person from the office, who doesn't know the trade and was not keen to cut a deal. I left by leaving my cell number and my deal price for the vehicle. What a bad experience!!! I will think twice before visiting them again!!!! More

Most of them didn't impress me positively because of their aggressive attitude or for their lack of transparency. I contacted Minuteman at first through an internet site. I already knew the car I wanted and two Emails and one telefone call later we basically already had a deal. At the dealership I worked with Bob Vigna. He is very knowledgeable and has a very pleasant style. He and Sherman explained to me all the details and answerd my question. Everything went very quicly, without the psychological games other dealerships often do. I like the car very much and the price was more than fair. More
