I had one of the worst customer service experiences at Modern Toyota—which is incredibly disappointing considering I bought my 4Runner there. I scheduled an oil change appointment over a month in advance. A week ago, I called to confirm—everything was fine. Then they called me again the day before to reconfirm. I even asked specifically if I could be first in line, and I was told to arrive early. So I did exactly that. I drove over an hour from Charlotte and arrived at 7:15 AM for my 8:00 AM appointment. When I got there, I was told by Scott Beckwith, very rudely—that I had no appointment. Instead of trying to help or figure out what went wrong, the employee told me that since I didn’t have an email confirmation, I would be placed at the end of the list. I showed him proof of the phone call from the day before—it didn’t matter. The attitude remained dismissive and disrespectful. To make things worse, by 8:30 AM there was still no manager on duty to address the situation or provide any kind of resolution. Mistakes happen—but this was a complete failure in customer service, organization, and accountability. This is the first business I've been to where they have a fridge with free water and drinks, a nice lady that comes around with a basket of snacks, everyone is very friendly and efficient. And it's not like other places where the chairs are tight together. You have plenty of space. Highly recommend coming here! More
I have always been completely satisfied with this dealership. The service department has always got me in and out very quickly for my oil changes and tire rotations. This is my 4th new car I’ve purchased from Modern Toyota and I’ve always been pleased with the cars I’ve bought here. One thing I like is that I always get the same service adviser (Rene Lugaro) and he has always been very professional but at the same time very friendly. I’ve never once questioned any thing he has discussed with me concerning my car. I would highly recommend Modern Toyota! More
