I’ve been a Modern Toyota customer since buying my wife’s car here in 2020, and since then I’ve trusted them with all of our service needs. Overall, I’m satisfied with the quality of their work and customer car here in 2020, and since then I’ve trusted them with all of our service needs. Overall, I’m satisfied with the quality of their work and customer service. Their prices are a little higher than some other shops, but I understand that quality service comes at a cost. My main concern during the last two to three years has been the wait time. From 2020 to 2023, most of my service visits took around an hour. Recently, even a simple inspection has sometimes taken 3 to 4 hours. I also normally request my annual inspection during my June or July maintenance because my registration renewal is the following month. This worked perfectly in previous years, but recently I’ve had to return again for the inspection. On my last visit, I was told that the inspection had been completed but had “expired after 30 days.” That explanation was confusing because NCDMV states that an inspection can be performed up to 90 days before the vehicle’s registration expires. https://www.ncdot.gov/dmv/title-registration/emissions-safety/Pages/safety-inspections.aspx I still trust Modern Toyota and want to continue bringing our cars here. I simply hope the scheduling, wait times, and communication around inspections improve so the service experience returns to the level I remember from earlier years. More
