Hi Chad, We were looking at the service history on this and talked to the Certified Toyota Technician that performed the work - we did remove the carpet at its entirety, and your advisor gave you a couple of options, (1) being the work we performed, and (2) of replacement of the carpet and pad assembly all together. We have had success with the first option, however, there are times where the smell may just come back at times, and it sounds like in this case it did. I see that you said, you completely replaced the carpets at another approved Toyota facility - when looking at your vehicle's National Service History, we didn't find where the carpets were completely replaced. I know our Service Manager has tried to reach out to you to identify and hopefully get closure to this issue that has been ongoing for over a year now. Justin, I had my insurance company take the issue to Olathe Toyota as Molle had gotten no where after several attempts and hundreds of dollars spent. Olathe Toyota referred it out to their recommended collision center McCarthy Collision Center in Olathe. I stand firm that Molle didn’t remove the carpet and or pad at all as the condensation line that was disconnected and draining condensate into cabin is located on the passenger side and was easily noticed when the carpets were removed for the 1st time at McCarthy. Additionally if the pad would have been removed at Molle there would have been evidence of the original adhesives being pulled up and there was no such evidence. I’ve called your service manager back and left him a VM prior to getting your posting and response. There is breakdown in communication from service tech to supervisor to manager to you and your Not getting the truth so someone can can cover their tracks. I’d suggest Molle find out before they pull this sort of scam on another good customer.
