Within the last week my husband and I purchased a new Highlander from Molle Toyota. We were repeat customers to this dealership and, as before, we received excellent service from our salesman, Matt Robi Highlander from Molle Toyota. We were repeat customers to this dealership and, as before, we received excellent service from our salesman, Matt Robinson, and from Rodney Skaggs, the new truck sales manager. Matt did not pressure us to buy but worked us through the process in a relaxed and professional manner. We especially appreciated the time Matt took to throughly educate us on our new Highlander's entune system. We are very pleased with our new truck and would recommend Matt and Molle to friends and family. More

First, I NEVER write reviews on anything, second, saying I hate car shopping is an understatement. After visiting 2 different dealerships in the KC area and being treated like I was an idiot and wasting hou I hate car shopping is an understatement. After visiting 2 different dealerships in the KC area and being treated like I was an idiot and wasting hours of my life, I saw the Molle Toyota ad for 0% financing for 72 months on certified USED vehicles. I was certain it was a trick or some sort of sales gimmick but figured I'd check it out. I called first to try to do the negotiating over the phone and to check out the offer. I spoke with Shawn W who was extremely friendly and most of all HONEST. I explained that if I got sat in a room and he left 4 or 5 times to "talk to his manager" about price he would find the office empty! He promised this would not be the case. I went in, drove the car and while there wasn't a whole lot of movement on the price, the car was already priced extremely reasonably and the financing was the "real deal". I was in and out in less than an hour with a new Camry that I LOVE. It was the first positive car buying experience I have ever had and the first time I didn't feel like I was being treated like I was clueless because I am a single woman. Thank you Molle and Shawn Weissenbach for a great experience! Maria Prairie Village, KS More

I originally visited this dealership in December 2011 and was not impressed with the salesman I spoke with at the time (he no longer works there). He seemed very indifferent about wherther or not I purchased was not impressed with the salesman I spoke with at the time (he no longer works there). He seemed very indifferent about wherther or not I purchased a car from them. At the time, the numbers didn't work out for me, and I decided it wasn't the right time financially to buy. I decided to give Molle Toyota another try last month since they were so highly rated. When entering the dealership I was immediately approached by a salesman named Clayton Bailey. I told him I was looking to buy a new Rav4 and had spoken to someone online. At his desk we looked through their inventory, and he told me they had several Rav4s in the Pyrite Mica color that I wanted. I told him that the woman I spoke with on the phone earlier had told me that those cars had already been sold. He assured me that if they were showing up on his computer, then they were available. After filling out some forms and talking numbers, Clayton came back and informed me that, indeed, the cars listed on the website were not available. He offered to show me another Rav4 in Classic Silver. He told me he couldn’t show it to me right then because they were buffing a scratch out of the bumper. I told him I’d be willing to come back the next day and look at it, as I had to be back at work by 5pm. He told me that he’d really prefer that I look at it that evening or come back Wednesday because Tuesday was his off day. I explained I was leaving town on Thursday and my only option would be to come in the next day to look at the car. He then told me that if I came to look at the car the next day and decided to buy, he wouldn’t get the commission on it. I told him very frankly that I didn’t really care about his commission as much as I cared about feeling comfortable dropping $25,000 on a new car. He said he understood but wanted to know if there was anything he could do to get me to buy the car that day. I told him there wasn’t. He acted shocked. He said he was going to go let his sales manager know my decision and conveyed that his manager was going to be really surprised that I didn’t want to buy a car right then. He made me feel like I was doing something out of the ordinary or like I’d wasted their time. The sales manager Rick Gannon came out to greet me and ask me if everything was going well or if I had any questions. When Clayton walked away I told Rick that I really felt like Clayton cared more about his commission than about me being comfortable with buying a car. He didn’t really have much to say about that. I told him I’m sure there aren’t many people that just come in and buy a car the same day. He said he’d worked there for 27 years and the number was probably about 50/50. I didn’t feel like Rick really cared about customer satisfaction either. I left pretty irritated. Clayton called me two days later to check in. I informed him that I would be purchasing my new Rav4 from Hendrick Toyota, and he asked why. I told him it was because a friend had recommended a specific salesman there, and he was working to get me the car I wanted in the color I wanted. Clayton told me he was calling because he thought he would be able to get me the color I wanted. I again thanked him, but told him that I would be buying from Hendrick. Before I could say anything else, he said an irritated, “Ok, goodbye,” and hung up. I was shocked. Again. I feel like Clayton has no concept of how you are supposed to treat customers. He doesn’t understand that it’s all about the customer and not about him. I understand that salesmen work on commission, but I would think that standard, sales etiquette would dictate that you should NEVER, under any circumstances, mention your commission to the person you are trying to make the sale to. And you should NEVER make the customer feel bad for not making a purchase right then. I felt completely disrespected. Furthermore, I don’t feel like Rick made any attempt to allay my concerns. I would think that when a customer says, “I feel like your salesman is more concerned about his commission than my satisfaction,” your logical, first response would be, “I’m really sorry you feel that way. What can I do to make you feel more comfortable?” He said nothing. I’m shocked that he has been in this line of work for 27 years and did nothing to save the sale. He saw the numbers. I have excellent credit and was ready to buy. I’m sure you can understand how frustrating it is for many women to purchase vehicles. I am a 28 year old, single female. It’s intimidating going into a car dealership by yourself, and you really just want to find a salesman who cares about you and who you don’t feel like is trying to take advantage of you and overcharge you. I didn’t feel like these salesmen really cared about me at all. Rick has a five star rating on dealerrater.com. So why didn’t I get that five star service? I purchasing my Rav4 from Randy Stendebach at Hendrick Toyota, as he made me feel important, valued, and comfortable about buying my new car. I wish I would have had the same experience at this dealership. I sent a copy of this review to the General Manager at Molle Toyota, Anna Molle-Stasi, and have heard nothing from them. More

Due department. I had a difficult situation coming in from out of toun to help a family memeber take care of an immediate/serious service problem. Due to the work schedule of my family member I had to drive 3 hours to KC to help them take care of it. I did not know anyone at the dealership and I had noprior contact with them, so essentially, I was a total stranger to them! In a nutshell, they took their time and came up with the diagnosis of a serious problem with the vehicle I had serviced. A part needed to be ordered and I had to leave the vehicle there. Long story short: When the part arrived and work began, they realized the repair was not as serious as originally determined. I appreciate the honesty of the dealership in this regard. I would recomment it to anyone (even from a long distance) because you know you are going to be treated fairly and with respect The shuttle service was very accomodating and the staff was great! I will make sure that my family member continues to do servies there and purchase a new vehicle also when the time comes to do that! More
Last two trips to the service department here have been terrible. Earlier this year they pushed to sell four tires when only two needed replaced. They even admitted rear tires could last another year. But terrible. Earlier this year they pushed to sell four tires when only two needed replaced. They even admitted rear tires could last another year. But they had already replaced all four. After complaint gave me only $100 dollar credit on bill over $1000! Most recent visit ..rear automatic sunscreen stuck and motor making loud sound when car put in reverse. Called and guys said most it would cost is $750. Brought car in ..they did nothing but listen and look (did not take anything apart), charged me $55 and said it would be $1250 to repair!. Things have changed at this dealership...$$ driven vs HONEST/FAIR service driven. Have bought two cars there...WILL NOT BUY THERE ANY LONGER. And they dont even know this poor service performance has now reduced sales (and I am buying new car this fall). More
