This is total xx. Your service writer out and out lied. First of all, I read the MODOT manual. According to the manual, wipers fail if they have missing pieces, they were 100% in tack. As for the tires, I have a tread gauge. I measured the tread depth and challenged to bring the car in as my son took it in for me. The service writer said, "well the mechanic said there was cord showing" at that point I told him, if that was the case, I will apologize. I will personally inspect the tire. I later pulled the tire off and inspected, there was no cord showing. It was getting to the point where I would replace the tire, but should have passed. My son who took the car in for me is pretty laid back. He made the comment that the service writer was trying to up sell him on a set of tires. After 7 years of great experiences, this guy broke the trust.
