Horrible Service - Horrible Experience!!!!!!!!!! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, HORRIBLE BUSINESS, WHO IS MORRIE AND HOW DO I TALK TO HIM? Im not one to ever write a review good or THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, HORRIBLE BUSINESS, WHO IS MORRIE AND HOW DO I TALK TO HIM? Im not one to ever write a review good or bad... My mom purchased a year ago from Morries Buffalo and had nothing but excellent things to say about this company. Here is our long story - we had a specific car we wanted to purchase, found it at Morrie's 394. The vehicle is 3 years old. Our sales lady was very nice, she wasn't very helpful w/ questions but we did our homework and she was new so that has nothing to do with my review. We took the vehicle for a test drive, the car was in good condition on outside and inside was great. The tires were really bad, which fine we purchased for a decent price we can replace the tires. Got our paperwork and drive off with the vehicle we went there for. The drive back home was 45 mins and I was smelling rotten eggs, didn't think much of it.. get home park the car, all is good. Drive the car to the grocery store and back home, still stinky rotten egg smell (they hardly detailed the car, which I was ok with bc it was getting late but I do expect a nice clean car when pulling out of the lot with a new car not full of hair and crumbs) Next morning go start the car.. its dead! So have to wait to get a jump, it started right up and I thought fine maybe its been sitting a while? On my way into work I had the cruise set on the freeway in rush hour traffic and all of a sudden everything electrical shuts off along with the cruise control, what the heck! The electrical things (gps, radio etc.) turned back on and I got to work fine. I left work once and the car started right up, tried it again before the end of the day and it started no issues. Everyone left and I was the last one to close up, so of course go to start the car and nothing.. it's dead again. Got a jump a while later and drove the car home. I noticed that rotten egg smell again but just wanted to get home at this point. I've spoken to our sales lady twice regarding this issue and she made us an appointment for the following day. I have 2 small children, so I took the day off of work and drove to our appointment with my 2 little children! Pull the car in, park it unload the stroller, get the kids loaded up and saw no one around besides mechanics. I walk inside not sure where to even go and stand around waiting for someone to help. -- back to the night when I got home from work, my fiance opened the hood to check the battery and it was spitting battery acid all over! That was the nasty rotten egg smell. We had to take the battery out since it was clearly about to blow up (just kidding, but it was not in good shape!) My fiance went to the auto store the next morning to get a replacement battery so I could get to our appointment. -- ok back to the dealership. I told the service guy (unsure of name) the issues we were having, the battery and the electrical and he pulled our account. Nothing was noted he asked why I was there, annoying since I've talked to a few people already, just note my account or communicate maybe? In the meantime I handed him the receipt for the battery, our car sales lady told us at our appointment the battery would be taken care of. We live over 45 mins from the dealership so how was I to get to the appointment with that old battery about to explode! The guy helping me and my 2 antsy children took the receipt and went to talk to a manager. They agreed to issue a reimbursement check but would be a few days before they mail it out. Since my appointment was to "replace the battery" they pushed me away and said we are not going to look at vehicle.. are you kidding good thing I took off work, drug my 2 babies 45 minutes away for jack! At this point I was over the day, it was hot the kids were crabby and so was I. Load this kids back into the vehicle and head back home.. go to turn the a/c on and notice it isn't blowing very cold air?? This car has a lot of extras that I wasn't use to I thought maybe I just didn't turn on the right thing, so get home and tell my fiance about it. It was cooler outside at this point so try again the next day, of course the air condition doesn't work and now there is a noise in the motor! I at this point am getting super annoyed, these are such basic things, this company prides themselves on these great inspections - these issues should have been very obvious!! So call the dealership back, telling them the a/c and motor noise. Left message after message for our sales lady, for the sales manager for the finance guy we worked with and didn't hear back from anyone. The following morning tried them back and finally talked to our sales lady, basically to shorten this up went back and forth with her and the sales manager for about 3 days.. I am pissed, this new "family SUV" is the last thing I trust for my 2 babies and what are we going to find wrong with it next?? Let me mention in order to finally get a return phone call I had to tell them I would be coming in at 5pm if I didn't hear back, our sales lady ended up going to higher up management (above her boss) to get this issue pressed. She stated they have new management and these are such small issues lets just get this stuff fixed and move on. To wrap things up it's been a week later and our car is dead in a parking lot, the xxxxxxxx at Morries won't call back and we still have not seen our battery reimbursement check.... The last guy I talked to was very rude, since we declined the BUY HAPPY xxxxxxxx plan he basically said well do whatever we are under no contract. I hung up in tears, I am so over this company! More
2nd Time's a Charm Great experience. 2nd vehicle bought at Morrie's. Love them both. No high pressure which was a huge plus for me. High pressure shuts me down inste Great experience. 2nd vehicle bought at Morrie's. Love them both. No high pressure which was a huge plus for me. High pressure shuts me down instead of making me want to look around so it was nice to feel comfortable to look and ask questions. Someone does make sure they greet you when you walk in and ask you if you need help which was very welcoming and helpful. David was very pleasant to talk with and very informative. I wasn't planning on buying a car that night, just looking around for information as it had been awhile since I bought a car - the people service made me decide to not wait until after the New Year.
